This weekend, Netflix will add a romantic comedy movie, season 2 of a teen drama, and an action comedy movie starring a well-known actor from the 1980s. Cinemas around the world continue to reopen amidst the coronavirus pandemic, allowing studios to finally release all those movies they had to delay, but streaming services continue to be the go-to source of entertainment for many. Luckily for Netflix subscribers, the streaming giant continues to add new content every week to ensure there’s something for viewers of all ages and for all tastes.
Last weekend, Netflix welcomed Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained and season 3 of Charmed, along with the movie Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans, season 2 of Sky Rojo, the horror movie Blood Red Sky, and the romantic drama The Last Letter From Your Lover. The last days of July will bring season 10 of The Walking Dead, the final season of Wynonna Earp, season 7 of The Flash, and the movies The Operative and The Vault. As it happens on the first days of every month, Netflix will add a bunch of licensed content this weekend, most notably Steven Spielberg’s Catch Me If You Can, Christopher Nolan’s Inception, John Hughes’ Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, the dramas My Girl and My Girl 2, and the comedy Pineapple Express.

Netflix's Resort to Love is a rom-com directed by Steven Tsuchida. Aspiring pop star Erica (Christina Milian) ends up as the entertainment at her ex-fiancé’s wedding after reluctantly taking a gig at a luxurious Mauritius island resort while in the wake of a music career meltdown. She tries to keep their past relationship a secret from his bride-to-be Beverly, but Erica rediscovers her feelings for her ex, Jason (Jay Pharoah), despite his brother Caleb's (Sinqua Walls) attempts to keep them from falling back in love. The question soon becomes will Erica sing at Beverly's wedding or her own?
Outer Banks - season 2
Season 2 of the coming-of-age TV series Outer Banks is now available to stream on Netflix this weekend. After their near-death escape, John B and Sarah are on the run in the Bahamas. New friends also bring new foes as they’re back on the trail of the gold, while the stakes for Kiara, Pope, and JJ rapidly escalate at home.
