Summer is in full swing, and while it may be sunny enough to spend time outside - who wants to do that, when there is Netflix and takeout food inside? Of course, it's possible to do both... but no judgment here if summer fun is just binge-watching the latest shows with the fan on!
Thankfully, Netflix is adding some incredible new shows and films this July, including the obligatory Netflix Originals, so there's going to be plenty of bingeable material, whether you are looking for classic comedy, uplifting new reality, or the latest seasons of your favorite Original Series.
The Hangover
It's been a decade since The Hangover first hit screens and introduced viewers to a truly brilliant concept for a comedy; friends on a bachelor party who wake up with no memories of the night before, and have to piece together their shenanigans in reverse.
Not only does this make for a fantastic take on the night-out comedy, but it upped the game in terms of just how madcap those nights out could be. Tigers, face tattoos, weddings... you name it, these guys managed to do it on the craziest Vegas trip anyone has ever taken.

Caddyshack
For a little more classic comedy check out Caddyshack (and the sequel, Caddyshack 2), both arriving on Netflix this month. Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, and Bill Murray star in this hilarious comedy about a golf club (and a rogue gopher), and everyone will know at least one of the dozens of oft-quoted lines from the film.
Admittedly, like many '80s comedies, there may be some jokes that haven't aged well, but this is such a classic that it's worth watching anyway, and just remembering when it first came out.

The Accountant Of Auschwitz
For those looking for something on the opposite end of the spectrum to slapstick, this award-winning documentary is sure to make viewers think. The Accountant of Auschwitz, released last year, follows the trial of Oskar Gröning, a former German SS Officer, who worked at the concentration camp during the war.
Thought provoking and gripping, this documentary will also look into questions of law - who makes them, how they change, and what the laws are truly there to do.

Stranger Things (Season 3)
Stranger Things fans, rejoice! The third season of Netflix's hit show comes to the streaming service at the start of the month.
Rejoin Eleven and the gang in the '80s for some more mysterious happenings and monsters hiding in the world, and find out what will happen next for the series.

Mary Poppins Returns
Emily Blunt stars in this follow up to the classic film Mary Poppins. In this family-friendly musical, Nanny Mary Poppins is back, and this time, she's bringing happiness back to the lives of a grown-up Michael and his children.
The cast is definitely one of the best things about the film, and while it didn't quite land with the kind of huge success that Disney may have been hoping for, it did manage to create a solid follow up to the original that fans of all ages can enjoy.

The Princess And The Frog
More Disney coming to Netflix this month with The Princess And The Frog - a severely underrated addition to the animated Disney catalog. A twist on the classic fable of the Princess who kisses a frog to turn him into a Prince, this hilarious version has both Prince and beautiful girl (not a Princess) turn from humans to frogs, and stuck searching out a magical cure in the bayous of Louisiana.
New Orleans makes a perfect setting for this fun film, with a voodoo villain and catchy brass band tunes, and unlike the early days of Disney princesses, this film is all about a young woman chasing her dreams - and those aren't dreams of dresses and crowns.

Queer Eye (Season 4)
Get the tissues ready for this one - the new Fab Five is back with another makeover season that promises to be just as tearjerking as the first three. The reworking of the original Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, Queer Eye is so much more than just a makeover show.
Yes, their targets may get new clothes, hair, and apartments, but they also get a new outlook on life, confidence, and often fans get to see total transformations - inside and out. In addition, the Fab Five seem to seek out the most deserving people they can, those who have been striving their whole lives, who have overcome tragedy, and who absolutely deserve the glitter and gloriousness of this wonderful reality show. It's no wonder that it has become so wildly popular since season one began.

Inglorious Basterds
Between an upcoming Star Trek project and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (set to release July 26), there's a lot of buzz around Quentin Tarantino right now - so while waiting to see his latest big screen offerings, check out this 2009 offering from the director.
Set during World War II in Nazi-occupied France, the film features assassination plots, general mayhem, and of course, enough blood, gore, and language to make Captain America faint. The film also won an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, and is definitely worth a re-watch.

Workin' Moms Season 2
Back to comedy for this one, as the second season of the Canadian Workin' Moms hits Netflix towards the end of the month. The perfect antidote to summer holidays with the kids home from school (or, possibly, a hilarious reminder of why not having kids might not be the worst thing), Workin' Moms follows three women (and their Mommy and Me group) as they attempt to navigate motherhood, and of course, work, relationships, and everything that goes along with it.
From pumping to post-natal, Workin' Moms may be hilarious, but it is also very, very real.

Orange Is The New Black (Season 7)
Finally, we have the return of one of Netflix's original Originals - Orange Is The New Black. The series about a women's prison returns for a seventh and final season this month, and now that Pipe is back out in the world, fans will get to see what happens next.
There are plenty of individual stories that need to be wrapped up in Season 7, but it's likely that Piper's will be the primary focus, especially as she readjusts to life outside, and figures out exactly what comes next.
