New Netflix Releases Weekend January 5

It's now 2019, and the new year has brought with it some awesome new thing to watch on Netflix this weekend. The final month of 2018 saw some major releases that are worth catching up on if you haven't already, like the Sandra Bullock-led thriller Bird Box and the interactive film Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, where the viewer chooses how the story ends. If those don't interest you, however, there are plenty more new arrivals this week.

Lemony Snicket's miserable tale of the Baudelaire children comes to an end in A Series of Unfortunate Events season 3, which wraps up many of the show's mysteries. If you're looking to kick off the new year by de-cluttering and tidying your home, you can get motivated by new reality show Tidying Up With Marie Kondo.

This season takes the Baudelaires to the top of a mountain and to the bottom of the ocean before finally bringing them to the mysterious "Last Safe Place," where their troubles might finally end... or get even worse.
