As we try to recover from Christmas over-indulgences and look ahead to the New Year, here are the biggest releases coming to Netflix to help you through the last lazy weekend of the year. Last week saw the release of post-apocalyptic thriller Bird Box and the BBC's new adaptation of Watership Down, and there were plenty of seasonal gems to watch during the Christmas period.

This week brings a mind-bending new episode of acclaimed sci-fi series Black Mirror, Bandersnatch, in which viewers make choices about what the protagonist, Stefan, should do next - many of which have a profound impact on how his story ends. There's also Lifetime series You, about a book store manager who develops an unhealthy obsession with a female writer. And for superhero fans, this year's epic team-up Avengers: Infinity War has made its way to Netflix as well.

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch

Black Mirror Bandersnatch Trailer

Twisted sci-fi series Black Mirror returns in a special episode, Bandersnatch, that has a unique twist: you get to choose what happens. Bandersnatch is effectively a choose-your-own-adventure game that follows Stefan, a young amateur programmer creating a choose-your-own-adventure game based on a choose-your-own-adventure game book. If your head is already hurting then you'd better grab some painkillers and strap in, because Bandersnatch takes you on a journey with wildly varying consequences, based on how you decide to guide Stefan through the development process.

You

Netflix - You

Psychological thriller series You debuted on Lifetime before coming to Netflix this week. Penn Badgley plays Joe, a bookstore manager who falls in love with one of his customers, Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail) and begins stalking her - both on social media and in real life. Joe is determined to make Beck fall in love with him, but his dark obsession has deadly consequences.

Avengers: Infinity War

Earth's Mightiest Heroes assemble once more in Avengers: Infinity War, this summer's Marvel Cinematic Universe team-up movie, which pitted both the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy against the unstoppable Titan, Thanos. Featuring the largest assembly of Marvel heroes ever seen on the big screen and a plot that bounds across the galaxy, Infinity War is well worth revisiting if you've already seen it, and is a must-see if you haven't.
