This weekend, Netflix will welcome the final episode of a family comedy TV series, a new documentary, an animated short-film, and a musical comedy. As the coronavirus pandemic keeps casting a shadow over the future of the film industry, studios continue reorganizing their schedules and making big decisions for their future, with many choosing to send some of their biggest titles to the world of streaming. Netflix has already housed some movies that couldn’t get a theatrical release and will continue to do so in the near future, while also bringing new original content every week.

Last weekend saw the addition of a lot of licensed content, most notably 50 First Dates, Chef, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, The Da Vinci Code, Runaway Bride, and the first three movies in the Jurassic Park franchise, along with season 4 of Big Mouth, David Fincher’s Mank, and the biographical drama Selena: The Series. This weekend, however, the streaming giant won’t see much licensed content, but it will welcome the action thrillers Ava and Triple 9, along with Manhunt: Deadly Games.
