Lucifer has the drama of the celestial tied with the steamy romance between the two main characters. But it begged the question of whether or not the show's character would be good in a relationship. Fans have seen the failed marriage between Chloe and Dan, and the intense love Dan had for Charlotte.

Lucifer is the king of Hell and became smitten with Chloe, but is he boyfriend material? In the time the show has been on the air, a sweet romance blossomed between Amendiel and Linda. They even welcomed a beautiful son. The show has given fans plenty of examples and circumstances to help determine what characters would be good romantic partners.

Michael

Michael at police precinct in Lucifer

Michael is a huge no when it comes to romantic partners. He is the twin brother of Lucifer who resided in Heaven, but to many fans, Michael is the real evil between the two. He makes Lucifer look good. When he's introduced in the show, he assumes Lucifer's life to trick the other characters.

Everyone could tell something was off. Michael being so happily inclined to lie doesn't make for a good partner. Even more so, when he becomes hellbent on destroying Lucifer and his new life, almost claiming that Lucifer doesn't deserve it at all. Michael put the lives of Chloe and those closest to Lucifer in danger - this doesn't really make for a good boyfriend.

Pierce

Pierce at crime scene in Lucifer

Pierce had potential and it was squandered rather quickly. Fans fell for his broad shoulder and kind eyes, but he was a dark seed; Pierce was really Cain, the first murderer cursed to walk the Earth forever. This backstory would possibly make any love interest flee. But Pierce does get some praise for being inherently nice to everyone.

He didn't show any signs of being a bad guy. He wanted what everyone else had - the chance to live a normal life, grow old and possibly have a family. These sound like good ideas for anyone wanting to date him. In the show, he put the charm on Chloe and amped up the swoon meter. But he quickly changes face, when he decides to kill Chloe to get revenge on Lucifer. He was also the criminal mastermind known as The Sinnerman.

Eve

Eve at Lux night club in Lucifer

If the show has taught fans anything, it's that Eve is more than willing to conform to her partner. When she starts dating Lucifer, she does everything to his liking. Ranging from experimental acts in the bedroom to drugs and alcohol. The sweet-faced Eve is actually a vixen.

While she may be open to try out the interests of her romantic partner, she can be obsessive and jealous, mainly because she didn't know how to do things for herself. She relied on Lucifer and hated him being away at work. Eve has her strong points as a romantic interest - she really does care for Lucifer and is the one who understands his more hellish persona. But it was a one-sided love.

Maze

Maze with curly hair in Lucifer

Maze deserves much more credit than given. Yes, she is a demon from Hell who enjoys a good fight and torture, but she does have the protentional of being a good romantic partner. Over the course of the show, she starts to give into her emotions. Maze realizes how lonely she really is and how people tend to push her aside and use her.

She's self-aware of what's wrong, a good trait for a romantic partner. At the same time, she can be cold and shut off from everyone. It might make it difficult to relate to her as a love interest. But given the opportunity to love, Maze might just be a good match.

Lucifer

The debate on whether or not Lucifer would make a good boyfriend has been hashed out before. He has many fine qualities besides good looks, money, and his powers. At first, Lucifer was more concerned with partying, living the good life and didn't take things seriously. But he matured over the course of the show.

Lucifer changing his ways for the better is a good trait for a romantic partner, as well as his inherent need to protect the people he cares for most. Some might even like his inability to lie and be so upfront with the truth. At the same time, Lucifer does come with a lot of emotional baggage due to his family.

Chloe

At the beginning of the show, Chloe was married to Dan before their marriage deteriorated. To be fair, it didn't put either in a horrible light as romantic partners. Chloe was still able to forgive Dan and continue working with him. Chloe soon met Lucifer and at first, she isn't smitten. But sparks soon fly as they face danger and solve cases together.

Chloe as a romantic love interest is tricky. She's highly intelligent and strong-willed, as well as a good detective and devoted mother. But she has a hard time reigning in her feelings and acting upon them. At one point, she can't digest that Lucifer really is the Devil, leading her to betray him. But she does get brownie points for coming to love him regardless and accepting her new reality.

Dan

Dan at police precinct in Lucifer

Dan became a lovable character for fans of Lucifer. At first, he was a bit cocky and didn't make for a good partner. He put his work-life ahead of his family leading to his and Chloe's divorce. But Dan was also self-aware that he and Chloe weren't meant to work out. Yet, Dan also becomes incredibly jealous of Chloe and Lucifer's growing relationship. Loss of brownie points.

Dan makes up for it when he finally lets it go and tries to live his own life. Dan even has a romance with Charlotte and truly loved her. He was kind, romantic, and protective, a good overall boyfriend. He's even distraught over the real Charlotte's death. But Dan still had trust issues with Lucifer and was manipulated a number of times.

Amenadiel

Despite the family drama, Amenadiel has the chops of a good romantic partner. At first, he's more concerned with his mission but soon starts to open up to life on Earth. Amenadiel is the most levelheaded of the bunch seeing the pros and cons of the situation. Over time, Amenadiel shows true emotions, lets go of his ego, and understands the differences between good and evil.

When dating Linda, he wants to make their relationship public but refrains for Linda's sake. Amenadiel becomes a family man caring deeply for Lucifer, Chloe, Linda, and everyone else, especially his son. He would move heaven and earth to keep his son safe and even pondered taking him to heaven.

Linda

Linda in her therapist office in Lucifer

Fans are first introduced to Linda as Lucifer's therapist and sexual partner, but she became so much more in the show. She is highly intelligent and always tries to give words of advice. Being able to listen to your partner makes Linda a good match. But fans also got to see Linda hold her own in the celestial storyline.

She was able to digest Lucifer's true face and hold strong after a while to help him evaluate his life and emotions. Linda is also loyal as a friend, despite going behind Maze's back and dating Amenadiel. Their relationship showcased just how good a partner Linda is. She was a voice of reason for Amendaiel and became a great mother to their son, although she can be a bit obsessive.

Ella

Ella in her police lab in Lucifer

Ella is a character that many fans couldn't help but love. She's quirky, outspoken, fun, and a ray of sunshine, all qualities that would make her a fun romantic partner. But she does have certain flaws. She tends to be drawn to bad boys or men with a dark past and inadvertently starts dating a serial killer - not her fault.

In the show, Ella has proved her dedication to her friends and is very protective of them. She even gets upset at Lucifer when he doesn't say goodbye before leaving. Ella would make a good partner because of her kind heart, bright outlook on life, and sticking by those she loves.
