The series is full of big personalities and major characters, which is why it has become so popular with audiences. But with so many characters who are all so varied and different, one great way to sort them is by using the Hogwarts houses and the popular traits that go into each one.

Gryffindor: Archie Coleman

Gryffindors are incredibly brave people who have courage and an ability to stand up for themselves and those who are less confident. This is something that suits Archie Coleman perfectly as he has no problem standing up for himself, showing bravery to help try to deal with homophobia within the industry.

He stands up confidently at the Oscar's with Rock Hudson as his boyfriend. It's something that was heavily frowned upon at the time, yet he had the confidence to do it anyway because he is a brave person.

Hufflepuff: Jack Castello

David Corenswet as Jack Castello

Jack Castello is the young aspiring actor of Hollywood and someone who is desperate to make it no matter what. He works incredibly hard and does a lot of work in order to make that happen and that dedication is precisely what makes him a Hufflepuff.

People in this Hogwarts houses may not be the most skillful witches or wizards, but they will outwork everybody else and that leads to their success. This is what sums up Jack perfectly, as he just doesn't take no for an answer.

Ravenclaw: Dick Samuels

Dick Samuels might not be the person who runs Ace Studios, but he is the person but the amount of work that he puts in, he might as well do. Dick understands the movie industry perfectly and that intelligence makes him the ideal Ravenclaw.

They are amongst some of the smartest people in the wizarding world, and there are few smarter in this series than Dick. He's very creative as well, which is another reason that he would work as a Ravenclaw, as that is another of their traits.

Hufflepuff: Camille Washington

Netflix

Much like Jack Castello, all Camille Washington wants to do is prove herself as an actress. She works incredibly hard and takes on a variety of roles that are beneath her talent, but she does them anyway in order to make a name for herself.

Camille is a Hufflepuff because of her hard work, and the fact she battles through against racism makes her efforts even more impressive. She's a tremendous actress and someone who thrives on the pressure and adversity, not being afraid of anything.

Slytherin: Henry Willson

Henry Willson is the perfect embodiment of a Slytherin, and it really does suit him. Slytherins are very cunning people who have no problem in stabbing others in the back in order to progress themselves. That's what Henry constantly does, he has knowledge of everyone and everything going on in the industry.

He has no issues in using underhanded tactics to get what he wants, and much like most Slytherin's, Henry Willson is very successful. He might not use the greatest tactics to get what he wants, but he certainly gets there.

Gryffindor: Rock Hudson

Rock Hudson might not be the sharpest and smartest person within this series, but he certainly has tons of heart. It is that heart and passion that makes him an ideal Gryffindor, as they may not be the greatest wizards, but they won't give up and always fight for what they believe in.

While Rock is put in some really tough circumstances throughout the show thanks to Henry Willson, his love for Archie and dedication to being a better actor is what gets him through.

Hufflepuff: Raymond Ainsley

Netflix

Raymond Ainsley is the director of Meg and someone who proves to be incredibly talented. He is hardworking and passionate and is never one to give up, no matter what he has to do. He gets Meg greenlit and helps turn it into a tremendous movie that wins Oscar's.

That dedication and commitment to his craft is what makes him the ideal Hufflepuff. People who are in this Hogwarts house might not always be the major focus all the time or the center of attention, which Raymond isn't in this show, but he is someone who will push to succeed, as Hufflepuff's do.

Gryffindor: Avis Amberg

Avis Amberg smoking and drinking in Hollywood.

When Avis Amberg finally gets her opportunity at running Ace Studios, she begins to really shine as a character. She has the bravery and courage to stand up and run the studio, despite the fact she's a woman which was something that didn't happen at that time period.

She also pushes for Meg to be made, despite how many stereotypes were going against the film being created. With a black screenwriter and a black lead actor, it was a big, bold decision which she proudly made. Her ability to take these risks and stand up for others makes her a perfect Gryffindor.

Ravenclaw: Ellen Kincaid

Netflix

Much like Dick, Ellen Kincaid works as one of the top executives for Ace Studios, and because of that, she has incredible intelligence. She doesn't just know how to create movies and push great projects, but she is also an excellent tutor as well.

Her calmness and ability to always think ahead is something that serves her well within the movie industry and that's why she is so heavily respected by her peers.

Slytherin: Ernie West

Ernie West might be one of the nice guys in the show who works really hard to help the people who are loyal to him, that doesn't mean that he isn't a Slytherin. That's mainly down to his work at the gas station as a pimp, because he proves himself to be a great leader.

Slytherin's are very effective in power and know-how to get the best out of people, which he certainly does. Ernie brings an infectious energy that really helps make him such a loveable character, but he isn't someone who will take being double-crossed either.
