After its first season was nominated for a 2018 British Academy Television Award for Best Drama Series, the Netflix dark comedy series The End of the F***ing World cemented itself as a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde story following two sociopaths who managed to slide right into a special crevice in our hearts.

After a year of waiting, fans finally got the second season they'd been asking for, and many important questions they had coming out of Season 1 had been put to rest. Season 2 however, left behind a ton of questions that were never answered throughout its 8-episode run. Since many fans may not yet have finished watching this new season (because they actually have real lives), we'll do them a favor with this SPOILER WARNING.

WHAT HAPPENED TO "STRUDEL OFFICER"?

The End of the F***ing World features cops that not only add to its moments of out of place humor, but are also semi-competent. Sid, known as "Strudel Officer" by fans, added to the tense atmosphere in that critical diner scene, taking his sweet time inspecting the place much to Bonnie's growing aggravation. He noticed Bonnie's gun at the last second and called in for some timely backup that truly saved the day.

We can't help but wonder what happened to this unsung hero following that fateful night. He mentioned that his child's birthday was the very next day, but after foiling a murder the night before, we're not too sure if you can still celebrate your child's birthday with the same enthusiasm.

WHEN DID PHIL'S ASHES GET WET?

Despite the disrespect that James continually exhibited towards his father, Phil stuck by his son's side throughout his recovery. After he died from a heart attack, James kept his ashes, but when it was time for him to scatter them, they'd somehow gotten wet. But how?

As far as we remember, the urn stayed in the car, and unless Alyssa or Bonnie tampered with them. Actually... now that we think about it some more, Bonnie probably did have something to do with this...

HOW IS ALYSSA'S DAD?

Back in Season 1, Alyssa's father, Leslie, proved himself to be the worst kind of scum. For starters, he called emergency services on them the minute he found out that they were wanted fugitives. He also just wasn't a great father.

When we last saw him, Alyssa plunged a knife into his leg after she found out that he betrayed them, but he didn't appear in Season 2 besides a brief flashback. We wanted to know if he even attempted to reconcile things with his daughter, and even how that leg was holding up, but Season 2 let us down.

HOW IS ALYSSA'S MOM AND HER TWINS?

Alyssa's mother, Gwen, was in a psychologically draining relationship with the world's biggest jerk for the entirety of Season 1. We were relieved not only for Gwen, but also Alyssa, when she made the choice to leave him, taking her three children with her. That's right! For those of you who forgot, Alyssa's mother had twins with this man!

In the final episode of Season 2, we only see Gwen sleeping in the police station, exhausted from the stress of not only planning her daughter's wedding, but also from wondering where her daughter ran off to afterward. Unfortunately, we never get to see her make sense of the events of Season 2, as well as how it all affects her ability to take care of her twins.

WHERE IS JAMES GOING TO GO/LIVE?

After his dad died, James couldn't bear to live in his old house. According to him, "there was too much sadness in there." Instead, he opted to drive around in the car his father left behind, living almost like a nomad. He and Alyssa have fully acknowledged their relationship, but that doesn't make his housing situation any better.

There didn't really seem like there was room in the house that Alyssa and her mother were staying in, and he wasn't too fond of staying in Leigh's cabin and bathing in that open lake. Maybe he could see if that motel they checked into a few days ago has some vacancies! Wait... We completely forgot about what happened to that guy for a second...

WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN TO BONNIE?

After serving time for murdering another victim of Clive's pedophilic preying, Bonnie was miraculously released, determined to kill James and Alyssa for murdering her "boyfriend". And yet, despite not actually killing them, she managed to expand her criminal record. She pointed her gun at a pharmacist, unsuccessfully concealed an illegal weapon from an officer, and how could we not forget the hotel owner that she accidentally killed?

Any one of these charges would get her some serious jail time, but in the Season 2 finale, we're never told what exactly becomes of her. At the end of the day, she killed a man, and it doesn't feel like the cops will go easy on her sentence given her sinister past.

CAN JAMES STILL HAVE CHILDREN?

Season 1 ended with a literal bang after James was shot by officers as he tried to flee. We were left in the dark as to whether or not he actually died, and were relieved to see that he survived the horrific idea.

In Season 2, James took it upon himself to confess that he didn't think he was capable of having sex even after his injuries healed, but Alyssa didn't seem to mind. Still, we can't help but wonder if James could one day start a family with her if he wanted to.

IS ALYSSA GOING TO BE OKAY?

The End of the F***ing World went to great lengths to show just how traumatizing sexual assault can be for victims without fantasizing the psychological impact. Despite James killing Clive before he had the chance to hurt Alyssa, the incident left her depressed and feeling distant from everyone around her, James included.

After she went back to Clive's vacant home, we thought she'd drowned herself in his pool. Instead, we were glad that she ending up telling James that she needed some psychological help. James has his own issues, and everyone else around Alyssa don't seem like the best psychological supports in the meantime, so we can only hope that she stays strong and gets the help that she deserves.

DO EUNICE AND TERI EVER CLEAR THE AIR BETWEEN THEM?

The drama between the two cops who were on the hunt for Alyssa and James was one of the funniest reoccurring bits in all of Season 1. Eunice Noon was the good cop, determined to apprehend Alyssa and James but willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and potentially soften their sentences. Her stern, by-the-books partner, Teri Darego, saw the two as murderers, and refused to see things any other way.

Additional tension between them came from a recent hookup that both seemed like they wanted to forget about, but we never really got to see them make amends. In fact, they weren't in Season 2 at all!

WILL THERE BE A SEASON 3?

This last question is one that almost every fan of this series has asked themselves immediately after the credits began to roll on Season 2's final episode. There's definitely enough support in this series to encourage a third season, although writer Charlie Covell has gone on record saying that she feels like this is a good place to end the story.

If a third season is in the works, maybe most of our questions will be answered pretty soon, and we can finally see how long Alyssa and James can make it in a relationship before they strangle each other to death.
