A European city isn't quite right for a horror movie, as it seems like the cobblestone streets and chic cafés are so pretty that nothing bad can happen. Emily in Paris takes place in this romantic urban place, and while Emily learns that getting by in her new home is harder than she thought, she's definitely not staring down any major dangers.
Not everything the series claims about Paris is true but it's still an enjoyable, light show to watch. If Emily Cooper, her friends, love interests, and co-workers starred in a scary movie, who would live — and who would met their tragic demise?
Mathieu Cadault
Mathieu is the nephew of Pierre Cadault and fans are torn between Gabriel and Mathieu as Emily's one true love.
While Mathieu is a sweet person who swoons over Emily and makes a lot of grand gestures, these things wouldn't serve him very well in a horror movie. He would be blindsided by the killer and he wouldn't even have time to react. Sadly, he would most likely be the first person from this Netflix cast to die bloody.
Gabriel
Gabriel is an intriguing character as he's a chef who flirts with Emily — despite having a girlfriend. Still, he's a solid, friendly person who shows sympathy when it's clear Emily is a fish out of water in her new city.
Gabriel would be next to die in a horror movie, as his scene would most likely take place at his restaurant. He would be working in the middle of the night and the mood would be set immediately as he would be surrounded by darkness. He'd want to test out a new recipe and then go home, but he'd have no clue that the killer was waiting for the customers to leave to get him alone.
Antoine Lambert
Antoine is a wealthy, sophisticated perfumer, and his arrogance would end up costing him his life.
If Emily in Paris was a horror movie, this character would be one of the most likely to die. He would be surprised by the killer and would yell a few French phrases about how he couldn't believe that he was about to be murdered. He might call out for Sylvie, as he appears to care about her a bit more than his wife — although he seems to love himself more than anyone else. Antoine could be killed on his way to meet Sophie, or walking through the pretty streets of Paris, as this film would have a lot of gorgeous scenery.
Madeline
Madeline isn't very well-developed and she doesn't get a lot of screen time. Since she's not a major character, it would make sense for her to die pretty early on if the characters found themselves in a terrifying movie.
Madeline's death would be a surprise. She would be enjoying a few cocktails in a dark bar at night and after leaving, would realize that someone is following her. Or perhaps she would be tragically killed while on a date.
Sylvie
Fans want season 2 of Emily in Paris to clear up some plot holes and it would also be great to see Sylvie be a lot nicer to Emily.
If Sylvie was in a horror film, she would be completely flabbergasted that someone would have the guts to try to murder her. She would be so offended that she would get really flustered and mad, and she might try to fight him off with her lit cigarette or perhaps a bottle of vintage wine. Even during her death scene, Sylvie would be fabulous and sophisticated.
Camille
Emily is wrong for pursuing Gabriel since he and Camille are in a serious relationship. This makes it easy to sympathize with Camille, especially since she's a kind person who doesn't deserve that treatment.
Camille wouldn't survive long in a horror movie. She's a bit flaky and flighty, and she tends to think that everything is always fine, so she would act that same way. If there was a serial killer or even if the movie was about a ghost or creature, Camille would shrug and figure that of course she could run away, but she would probably only last until the final act of the film.
Julien
Julien would do well in a scary movie. He's not very nice to Emily and yet he could be so much meaner to her, so she doesn't really mind him.
Julien is smart and this would help him a lot in a horror film. He would manage to run from the killer and would act like it was no effort at all, even though he would be pretty freaked out.
Mindy Chen
Mindy is Emily's new friend who loves dressing up. This character would be awesome in a horror movie as she has proven herself to be a courageous woman who isn't scared of anything.
As someone who moved away from her home to pursue happiness, Mindy would consider fighting off a killer a small price to pay for her amazing, fabulous life in Paris. As a nanny who runs after children all day, she also seems to be in good shape.
Luc
Luc works with Emily and is so sweet to her. He has a bit of a dorky personality but it suits him well.
Luc would live until the movie was over, although it would be unexpected. The other characters who had gotten away would ask him how he managed to do it, and he would say that he truly had no idea. His flight-or-fight instincts would kick in and he would exert himself physically and get away.
Emily Cooper
Emily might seem too nice to fight back but it wouldn't make much sense for the main character to die in a horror movie. She would definitely shock everyone — and herself — in discovering that she was braver than she ever thought possible.
Although Emily has an innocent air about her, she moves to a completely new city without anyone she knows, so she's got some courage. She might even be able to save Mindy and Luc if they worked together because she would prove that she was trustworthy and that they were safe with her. Emily is someone who knows what she wants and if she was determined to survive, she definitely would.
