Polo: Beat Christian Up For Dating Carla

Christian confronts Polo in Elite.

Polo's descent into darkness first began in season 1 when he attempted to get Carla back. However, if he wanted to win her heart then he went about it all in the wrong way. In "Todo estalla" ("Everything Explodes"), tensions between Guzmán and Nano reach a boiling point when the student attacks him after finding out Marina is pregnant.

Polo is happy to go along with the plan, especially as it gave him an excuse to attack Christian for breaking him and Carla up. Yet, his knight in shining armor routine doesn't go to plan as Carla is furious with his actions and rejects him once again. As a result, he is forced to come up with another plan.

Cayetana: Treatment Of Her Mother

When Cayetana first stepped foot in Las Encinas, everyone was skeptical of the new girl. On the outside, she may appear to be sweet and innocent. However, this is just to cover her ruthless and conniving side. It turns out that Cayetana had secrets of her own and would do anything to keep them hidden - going so far as to neglect her mother.

Unbeknownst to the other students, Cayetana was attending the school on a scholarship and forces her mother to not say anything. Although her mother was doing her a favor, Cayetana continued to mistreat her by taking advantage of her job and stealing clothes that didn't belong to her. She's lucky her mother didn't disown her for the way she behaves.

Polo: Killed Marina

Polo sits on a couch in Elite.

Polo cemented himself as the villain of the show as soon as he killed Marina. In "Assilah," fans were horrified to watch as Polo clobbered Marina over the head with her trophy. This all came about after Polo and Marina got into an argument over her stealing Carla's father's watch.

Believing he could win Carla back, Polo set out to retrieve the watch from Marina - who was planning to blackmail Carla's father. However, after Marina refuses and incessantly mocks him, Polo's anger issues come to light and he kills her. He then takes the watch and covers up the murder.

Cayetana: Conning Her Friends And Their Family

Cayetana's villain descent can be further cemented when the fans found out that she is a regular scam artist. In "59 hours missing," Cayetana's mother reveals the teen had previously scammed other people on the internet under the pretense that she is trying to launch a career. The reality is, she uses the money to make dresses for herself.

Cayetana steps up her game in the final few episodes when she and Polo hatch a plan to raise more money for her family. She goes to Lu and asks her to help organize a charity fundraiser, not caring that she is ripping off her 'friends.' Unfortunately for her, Lu exposes her scam and she's left to deal with the consequences.

Polo: Allowed Nano To Take The Blame

Although fans were aware that Polo was the true killer, the students of Las Encinas all believed Nano was responsible after he was arrested in the season 1 finale. The season 2 premiere also showed Nano was in jail as Samuel and his mother tried to raise enough money for his bail.

Although Polo struggled with the guilt of what he had done, he didn't exactly come forward to confess his crime. Instead, he tried to make amends by paying for Nano's bail. However, as the season went on, Polo became colder and detached from his emotions - keeping up the pretense that he was Guzmán's perfect best friend.

Cayetana: Covered Up Marina's Murder

Cayetana sealed herself as one of the worst people in the show when she also became an accessory to murder. In "0 hours missing," Polo's past came to caught up to him when Carla decided to confess what really happened to Marina. While he was waiting to be arrested, Polo confided in Cayetana about what happened.

As Polo was interrogated by the police, fans saw that Cayetana had retrieved the trophy from the bottom of the lake and was now keeping it in her wardrobe. As a result, Polo was released from custody and free to return to school. Nano still remains the prime suspect.

Polo: Tried To Attacked Ander

Polo swears to all that he didn't mean to kill Marina but the teen didn't appear to be redeeming himself - especially as he went after fan favorite, Ander. In "63 hours missing," Ander and Polo's friendship is strained after he confessed to his friend that he was responsible for Marina's death.

After Nano turns up at Rebeca's Halloween party, Ander tries to get Polo to admit to Guzmán what he did. When Ander threatens to tell Guzmán, Polo becomes aggressive and goes to smash a glass bottle over his head. Fortunately, he stops himself but Ander was right - he only cares about his innocence and would do anything to protect it.

Cayetana: Blackmailing Polo?

From the season 3 trailer, it looks as if Cayetana may become more toxic as she seems to take great joy in Polo's new outsider status. While he is going to be an outcast for the majority of next season, Cayetana will be a wolf in sheep's clothing as the others are unaware of her role in the murder.

Polo may realize he's made a grave mistake by allowing Cayetana to keep the murder weapon as she now has all the power. Polo could easily end up in jail if he gets on the wrong-side of Cayetana, so he's probably going to be forced to do all her bidding. She'll probably try and squeeze some cash out of him too...

Polo: Tarnishing Carla's Reputation

When the truth about Marina's murder came out, Polo could have redeemed himself and confessed to what he did. Did he take this chance? No. Instead, Polo dug a bigger grave for himself when he told the police that Carla had lied because she was his "crazy ex-girlfriend."

Carla's reputation was further ruined when his testimony was supported by her father. While Carla was wrong for trying to cover the crime, at least she tried to do the right thing in the end. Now Polo is going to sit by and watch as she suffers at the hands of her father for something he shouldn't have even done in the first place.

Cayetana: Kills Polo?

The biggest question of season 3 has to be who is responsible for Polo's death? When the season 3 trailer was released, Cayetana is seen among the group and looking as shocked to see Polo in the club. This suggests a break-up is on the horizon, meaning Polo is going to lose Cayetana's trust.

Fans were also shocked to see Polo has been murdered by one of the students, which means Cayetana could be the killer. After all, Polo could threaten to go to the police this time and implicate her too, since she possesses the weapon. Maybe Cayetana decides to silence him for good? Only time will tell...
