At the core of Netflix Élite are the backstories that inform us about our favorite characters. Within those backstories are characters which we have both never met or merely received glimpses of. Those include some of our favorite characters’ parents as well as those who have left Las Encinas by force and by choice.

The influence of these characters within the show is significant, and if they are explored in the third season, it will give greater opportunities to learn about our favorite characters.  From main to supporting characters, here are ten characters we miss and hope to see more in Season 3.

Beatriz

Carla’s mom Beatriz or La Marchionessa is a very important figure in Carla's life.  So far, we have mainly seen her father's influence over her, however, we have yet to see the extent of Carla’s relationship with her mother. Having confessed to her involvement in the murder cover-up, Carla will be part of the murder investigations in Season 3 and will most likely need her mother’s love and support at this time. We have also missed Beatriz’s journey as the marchioness and we hope in Season 3 to see more of La Marchioness and if in luck, the true extent of her wealth and business.

Andrea & Begõna

Polo’s moms Andrea and Begoña have been a strong underlying force in his life. Although we don’t get to see much of them, the influence they have over him is extremely evident. Hence why we would like to see more of them in the 3rd season. Facing a murder charge, Polo will need all the help he can get and cannot miss having both of his mums by his side. Besides, their wealth and influence might come in handy in tackling the various issues which await Polo in Season 3.

Ventura Nunier

In Season 1, Guzman’s father, Venturia Nunier made minor but important appearances claiming his position as a top member in the elite group. He was later arrested on money laundering and embezzlement charges. While we did see him in some Season 2 episodes, he seemed to be a missing supportive character in Guzman’s life.

While Season 3 will surely bring its own challenges, we hope to see more of Ventura Nunier especially as an active role model for  Guzman’s. This will not only help Guzman’s character development but also provide a redemptive storyline for the Nunier patriarch.

Antonio Muñoz

We know that Ander’s father, Antonio dreamed that his son would become a tennis player. However, with pressures building up in his life and his parents’ subsequent split, Antonio distanced himself from his family.  Since then, audiences have missed him and the potential relationship he could harbor with his son. Given that Ander went through various struggles in Season 2, we’re sure that we’re not the only ones who miss Antonio and are hoping for his return in Season 3. If the fans' predictions for Ander are correct in Season 3, Antonio will be essential in supporting his son.

Pilar & Victoria

Pilar and Victoria are the mothers of the show, whose storylines have not yet been extensively explored and we as an audience have missed out on. Samuel and Nano’s mom Pilar has been the ‘pillar’ of their family, while Victoria is the woman supporting Cayetana’s wannabe lifestyles. While we’ve seen Pilar in past seasons, we haven’t been exposed to her back story which means that there may be details of Samu and Nano’s life that we are missing. The same can be said for Victoria who we have seen glimpses of in Season 2. It seems unfair that we have only seen her through Cayetana’s life and we would like to see more of her in Season 3. This will allow us to not only learn more about Cayetana and her upbringing but about her mom and her family’s journey to Las Encinas.

Nano & Samuel's Father

When we first meet them in Season 1, there is no mention of a father figure in Nano and Samuel’s life. We know that Nano and Samu live with their mom Pilar and from what we understand Pilar is a single mom. Although Nano, Samu, and Pilar have always looked after each other, the father’s absence is reflected in the struggles that they usually face.

As a result, we’re sure we’re not the only ones missing this character as an appearance from Nano and Samu’s father could really be beneficial to the both of them in this upcoming season.

Martin

Martin came in as Las Encinas’ English teacher. He was the kids’ primary entrance to the academic and professional world. While this is what made him a relatable character, it is also what made him susceptible to trouble.  In Season 1, Lu uses his personal adoption struggle to blackmail him into giving her the best grade in a class. Although he is morally against this, he goes along anyways in order to expedite his and his wife’s adoption process. Later on, Lu’s blackmail is revealed which forces the principal to fire Martin. Since then we haven’t heard from him and have missed out on him as a positive role model. We miss Martin the teacher and hope to see him sometime in Season 3.

May

In Season 1 Episode 3 “Saturday Night”, Nadia reveals to Marina that she has an older sister named May. She claimed May was  “lost” but we later find out that she is actually estranged from the family after adopting a lifestyle that was against theirs. According to Nadia, it is possible that May was also a  substance abuser leading her further from the family. Despite this, Nadia still feels a sense of closeness towards her sister and ultimately still cares about her. Although we’ve never met her, it is evident that May has had an impact on the lives of Nadia and Omar. As a result, May is a character who we have missed in the past seasons and would like to see more of in Season 3.

Marina

Marina was an important part of Season 1 and 2. Although it seems like the narrative for Season 3 has swayed away from her murder, we cannot forget the wrong that was done to her and the grief that Guzman and her family still feels.  She is still a character that we as an audience miss and would like to see in Season 3. After all, we do know that she is at the back of everyone's mind, including Polo’s who murdered her. In Season 3, we would love it if we could see Marina either in family flashback from Guzman or in  Samu’s dream, reminding us all of her life.

Christian

Christian is a crowd favorite. He was the fun, charming and a nonchalant character that the serious folks at Las Encinas needed. However, being part of Carla and Polo’s murder cover-up proved to be too much for him and as he was about to confess, he was conveniently discarded by Carla’s father Teo. Ever since fans have missed this character and have questioned whether or not he will make a comeback in Season 3. We hope to see him in the upcoming season and hopefully hear his side of the story.
