15. Corpse Bride

Emily and Victor look sideways at each other in Corpse Bride

This 2005 stop-motion animation from the twisted mind of Tim Burton will be leaving Netflix on the 1st - breaking the hearts of any fan who was planning on streaming it for a gothic Valentine's Day celebration. About a young woman who was murdered by her suitor, and the young man who accidentally marries her and follows her into the underworld, this is spookily charming and will definitely be missed come Halloween.

14. Family Guy

The Griffins watching Tv in Family Guy

The Griffin family are headed off Netflix this month as well, breaking the hearts of anyone who loves to watch this ridiculous and very adult animated series. In the same vein as The Simpsons (there's even a crossover episode), Family Guy follows the boorish man of the house and his long-suffering and much hotter wife as they try and raise a family in small-town America. Foul-mouthed, violent and hilarious, Family Guy was the perfect late-night binge.

13. The Nightmare Before Christmas

Nightmare Before Christmas - Cropped

The Corpse Bride isn't the only Tim Burton animation to be leaving Netflix in February; The Nightmare Before Christmas is also on its way out. This fan-favorite is sure to be missed both in October and December, becuase it works as a Halloween movie and a Christmas movie. We'll miss seeing Jack Skellington discover Christmas¦ and try to take it over, with disastrous results.

12. Burn Notice

Burn Notice Michael

Burn Notice isn't leaving Netflix until the middle of the month, so anyone mid-way through a binge of the series might want to start devoting a little extra time to finishing it up¦ and finding out exactly what happens to burned' spy Michael Westin, as he attempts to find other ways to put his special ops training to good use now that he can no longer work for the US government.

11. How To Steal A Million

Audrey Hepburn How To Steal A Million

A must-watch for fans of classic cinema, How To Steal A Million stars the incomparable Audrey Hepburn as Nicole, a beautiful young woman who must steal from a museum to cover up her father's art forgeries. With Peter O'Toole as her romantic lead, How To Steal A Million is the ultimate in classic heist movies with a romantic twist.

Desk Set

10. Desk Set

Another classic, Desk Set is a 50s rom-com that was one of the original examples of a professional man butting heads at work with a fiery woman¦ and falling in love with her as a result. Yes, that's a bit of a spoiler, but the charm of Desk Set isn't in any kind of twist ending (it's entirely predictable), but in the star (Katharine Hepburn), and now, the hilarity of watching employees deal with *gasp* a computer coming in to the office!

Leaving: Feb 1st

9. Hard Candy

Hayley in Hard Candy

Fans of Ellen Page will love Hard Candy, a thriller starring Page as the 14-year-old Hayley Stark, out to take down a photographer who preys on young women online. Hard Candy didn't get much mainstream attention when it was released in 2005, but it was a smash hit on the film festival circuit, winning multiple awards (including one for Page as Best Actress). Hard Candy is definitely not one for the February romantics though - this is wonderfully dark stuff.

John Wayne in The Longest Day

Another must-watch for fans of classic cinema, The Longest Day is an epic war film based on the D-Day landings at Normandy, and first hit screens in the 60s. 7. Project X

Project X Movie

Definitely not a critically acclaimed entry on this list, Project X is nevertheless a fun flick for anyone looking to stream a ridiculous teen party movie. The devious plot by the central teens here is to throw a party of such epic proportions that it will make them popular¦ and the party is certainly the biggest ever seen, spinning wildly out of control. Mindless debauchery ensues.

6. Stranger By The Lake

Stranger By The Lake

Another film-festival favorite, Stranger By The Lake is a beautifully dark queer film about three men at a lake one summer, where one falls in love with another, despite his growing knowledge that the object of his affection is a ruthless killer. Although themes of love and desire are a huge part of Stranger By The Lake, perhaps it's a good thing that this is leaving Netflix before Valentine's Day¦ wouldn't want any unsuspecting couples to mistake it for a rom-com!

Rose Leslie and Harry Treadaway embracing in the kitchen in Honeymoon

5. Honeymoon

Another film that no one should mistake for a sweet romantic comedy, Honeymoon is a perfect watch for anyone who's been missing Rose Leslie since she left Game of Thrones in season 4. 4. American Genius

American Genius Tesla Vs Edison

These short documentaries (around 45 mins each) are a great way to indulge in a little learning without committing to a full documentary film. The series covers "great American thinkers" like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, Telsa, Oppenheimer and the Wright Brothers, among others. American Genius combines reenactments that pair inventors and idea men up and show how their rivalries pushed them to greater heights - and because each episode can be watched entirely separately, viewers can choose their favorite to squeeze in before American Genius leaves Netflix.

3. I Am Ali

I Am Ali Documentary

This documentary delves into the life of the great boxer, Muhammed Ali, with a combination of in-person interviews, reenactments (with the young Ali portrayed by Norman Towns), and access to Ali's personal audio journals. Fans of the boxer or the sport will no doubt find this fascinating, but it is just as accessible to viewers with only a passing interest in boxing history. Just don't mistake this for the other Muhammed Ali biopic, Ali, starring Will Smith.
