Netflix has become a hotbed of original programming, but many of the series that the streaming service releases only last a few short seasons. While some have carried on with multiple seasons, they have only reached as high as seven seasons before ending. However, that does not mean there are not several shows with plenty of seasons to binge-watch on Netflix.

These shows come from both network television and premium networks that Netflix has licensed to stream on its service. With some shows reaching as high as 15 and 16 seasons, there are plenty of great shows to binge on Netflix with hundreds of episodes to enjoy.

However, existing content still dominates Netflix when it comes to shows with the most seasons to binge on. From legendary comedies to dramas with 19 seasons and counting, there is a series for everyone to binge on Netflix.

Schitt's Creek (2015–2020) - 6 Seasons

Schitt's Creek started out as a small Canadian show no one knew about and slowly, over the course of 6 seasons became a cultural phenomenon. The series follows the Roses, a once-wealthy family who find their entire fortune has been stolen from them forcing them to move to a rundown motel in a small town that they happen to own. The series wrapped in 2020 with 6 seasons and all of them are now available on Netflix to stream.

Gilmore Girls (2000–2007) - 7 Seasons

Gilmore Girls was a massive success when it first began airing on The CW in the early 2000s and its popularity has only grown from there becoming a cult classic. The series follows the mother-daughter duo Lorelai and Rory as they navigate the ups and downs of life while living in the storybook Connecticut town. With 7 seasons and a four-part mini available on Netflix, Gilmore Girls is the perfect show to binge-watch.

Grace And Frankie (2015– ) - 7 Seasons

Netflix original series usually get canceled rather quickly, especially comedies, which makes the success of Grace and Frankie so iconic. Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin play Grace and Frankie, two women in their golden years who are forced to share a beach house after being divorced by their husbands who have fallen in love with each other. The series is currently in the midst of its 7th season with all episodes currently available to stream on Netflix.

New Girl (2011–2018) - 7 Seasons

New Girl originally aired on Fox from 2011 to 2018 but was licensed by Netflix in 2013. The show's presence on Netflix helped bolster its following and has become one of the most popular shows on the streaming platform.

The comedy series centers on Jessica Day, a quirky teacher, who finds herself living in a loft with three strange men after she learns that her longtime boyfriend has been cheating on her. As they all get to know each other friendships and romances bloom but chaos and hilarious situations are not far behind.

The Vampire Diaries (2009–2017 ) - 8 Seasons

The Vampire Diaries followed up on the success of shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural with an urban fantasy series focusing on a forbidden romance. Starting in 2009, the series introduced a teenage girl who falls in love with a 162-year-old vampire, but things get complicated when the vampire's brother returns home. While the love story ended after Nina Dobrev left after six seasons, the show lasted eight. It should be noted that there were also two spinoffs called The Originals which lasted for 5 seasons and Legacies which is in its 4th season, so there is a total of 16 seasons on Netflix, with the newest season of Legacies pending, if fans want to follow the first spinoff, as well.

Arrow (2012–2020) - 8 Seasons

Arrow premiered on The CW in 2012 and was a massive success, starting what became known as The Arrowverse; which included shows like The FlashLegends of Tomorrow, and more. Arrow was also the first show to end its run, finishing off with eight seasons. Stephen Amell stars as Oliver Queen, the Green Arrow from DC Comics, as he defended his beloved Starling City, transforming from a merciless vigilante to a selfless hero.

Seinfeld (1989–1998) - 9 Seasons

Seinfeld is, without a doubt, one of the most successful and popular American sitcoms of the '90s and of all time. Affectionally referred to as "the show about nothing," the series follows four single friends living in New York as they deal with the oddities that arise from everyday life. With 9 seasons and a feel-good vibe to it, Seinfeld is the perfect show to binge for audiences who need a pick me up or simply need background noise to go about their day.

American Horror Story (2011– ) - 10 Seasons

Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story is an interesting show to binge-watch on Netflix. There are ten seasons so far, originally premiering on FX in 2011. What makes this series fun to binge-watch is that it is an anthology series that tells a different type of horror story each season. Each American Horror Story season has many of the same actors playing different roles. It also starts to connect, with later seasons showing that all the horrific worlds in this show are in the same world, and things start to blend in wild and creative ways.

The Walking Dead (2012– ) - 10 Seasons

The Walking Dead is in the middle of its 11th and final season on AMC. With the 11th season set to wrap in early 2022, it's not on Netflix yet. However, there are 10 seasons of the hit zombie series fans can binge-watch right now.

The series started in 2010 with a police officer named Rick Grimes leading survivors to make it during the post-apocalyptic world. Despite Rick leaving The Walking Dead, it continued and is finally ready to wrap things up; although several spinoffs are either out or in development.

Shameless (2011–2021) - 11 Seasons

Shameless is a series from the premium network Showtime, and it is still has a season that has yet to air on Netflix. There are 11 seasons of Shameless on Netflix, including the farewell season which aired on Showtime in 2021. Premiering in 2011, Shameless tells the story of the Gallagher family, with father Frank (Willem H. Macy) as a neglectful, often drunk dad who forces his children to take care of themselves. The Gallaghers are a wild bunch with some characters having more appealing traits than others.

Trailer Park Boys (2001–2008 & 2014-) - 12 Seasons

For something completely off the wall, the Canadian mockumentary series Trailer Park Boys is on Netflix. There are 12 total seasons on the streaming giant to binge-watch, for a total of 115 episodes. The series follows residents of a trailer park, including some ex-convicts. While the series originally ran from 2001-2008, the three lead actors, Robb Wells, John Paul Tremblay, and Mike Smith, purchased the rights to the series and kept it going until 2018, adding five more 10-episode seasons.

Criminal Minds (2005–2020) - 15 Seasons

CBS' Criminal Minds was one of the top-rated shows from 2005 until it finally ended in 2020. However, unlike similar shows in its genre like CSI and NCIS, Criminal Minds wrapped up its run comparatively early, with only 15 seasons. The show focuses on the Behavioral Analysts Unit of the FBI, who travel the country and help solve murder cases, some of which are based on real life, with serial killers who avoid the regular authorities.

Supernatural (2005–2020) - 15 Seasons

Supernatural became the most successful urban fantasy series on television, with a record-setting 15 seasons for shows in its genre. The series followed the Winchester brothers — Sam and Dean — as they follow their father's footsteps as monster hunters who save the world from things that go bump in the night.

Over its run, the overarching storyline featured angels and demons, both villainous, fighting a war with Sam and Dean taking neither side while trying to save the innocents stuck in the middle. Supernatural ended in 2020.

NCIS (2003– ) - 15 Seasons

NCIS is one of the longest-running live-action shows in recent memory, and it is still on television in the middle of its 19th season. However, for Netflix subscribers, there are only 15 seasons of the show to watch. Since CBS began its own streaming service, now called Paramount+, the 16th season moving forward ended up exclusive to that service.

While no new seasons are coming to Netflix, there are still countless hours of NCIS to binge-watch on Netflix as the NCIS officers solve murders and keep the country safe from terrorists, both home and abroad.

Grey's Anatomy (2005– ) 18 Seasons

The most successful medical drama on television, Grey's Anatomy, is on Netflix for fans to binge-watch and enjoy in all its glory. Grey's Anatomy premiered on ABC in 2005 and is currently in the middle of its 18th season on the air. For Netflix viewers, the first 17 seasons are on the streaming service for fans to watch, as they relive the stories of Meredith Grey, Christina Yang, Izzie Stevens, McDreamy, and more as they save lives, fall in love, and try to get through the season without dying themselves.
