Growing up never gets old, so to speak, as there are always going to be fantastic TV shows and films about the trials of youth. Netflix has so many great young adult stories and the 2020 reboot of The Baby-Sitters Club is definitely up there in terms of quality content.

The show is so real and easy to relate to as the characters are anything but flawless. Everyone messes up, takes responsibility for their words and actions, and is able to move forward with a smile on their face and an optimistic outlook. While the adult and kid characters alike have some inspiring storylines, they each have some tough times, too.

Watson: Comes On Too Strongly

Watson Brewer (Mark Feuerstein) really wants Kristy to feel at ease with him as she moves into his fancy house and their families join together.

But he comes on too strongly and Kristy is still really uncomfortable around him. He doesn't seem to understand that this is tough for her and that she doesn't feel all that great about her life changing so much.

Richard: Too Strict With Mary Anne

Mary Anne and Richard in The Babysitter's Club

Richard Spier (Marc Evan Jackson) is way too strict with Mary Anne for the first part of the season, and he enforces so many rules that it's hard to like him at first.

He eventually redeems himself by admitting that he's been too harsh and that he needs to let his daughter be freer. But before he comes around, he's really difficult for her to deal with.

Sharon: Acts Too Flaky With Her Daughter When They Move To Stoneybrook

Sharon Porter (Jessica Elaina Eason) is a fairly good mom but she's definitely flaky when she and Dawn move to Stoneybrook.

Instead of making sure that her daughter is doing well and that the house is all set up, Sharon just seems to do her own thing. She doesn't put boxes away and leaves her daughter to do everything. It's not cool.

Stacey: Abandons Mary Anne During Their Trip

Shay Rudolph's character, Stacey McGill, is psyched to spend a week away with Mary Anne because as the new girl in Stoneybrook, Stacey wants to be able to spend some quality time together.

But she totally abandons her new friend, caring more about the cute older boy on the beach than what she set out to do. She acts like a jerk and really hurts Mary Anne's feelings.

Claudia: Lies About Her Test Grade

Claudia talks on the phone while another girl looks on from The Baby-Sitters Club

Claudia Kishi (Momona Tamada) lies about the bad grade that she gets on a test so her mom and dad will finally agree to her attending the school dance.

It's the worst moment for Claudia, since honesty is always the best policy — especially on a children's TV show. But the budding artist realizes her mistake and makes amends with her family.

Janine: Being Harsh With Claudia

It's always fascinating to see how sisters will interact on a TV show. Claudia's grandmother Mimi Yamamoto (Takayo Fischer ) ends up in the hospital in the episode "Claudia and Mean Janine," and Claudia and her older sister Janine (Aya Furukawa) fight with each other.

Janine's worst moment is in this episode, as she's super harsh with Claudia. She should be a little kinder and gentler because Claudia is under the impression that her sibling doesn't like her at all.

Mary Anne: Makes A New Friend And Fights With Kristy

Mary Anne Spier (Malia Baker) and Kristy Thomas are best friends when the series opens, and it's only a matter of time before a crack forms in their perfect foundation, as pre-teen girls definitely have some tense moments.

When  they have a big fight and Mary Anne makes a new friend in Dawn, it really hurts Kristy's feelings. They're both in the wrong because they've both been mean to each other, but Mary Anne should understand that she's hurting her best pal's feelings. These characters should make up much sooner than they do.

Dawn: Becomes A Pushover With The Impossible Three's Mother

While not the absolute worst TV mom, the mother of the "Impossible Three" isn't exactly winning any parenting awards. Mrs. Barrett (Rebekka Johnson) is disorganized and flaky and doesn't care that Dawn Schafer (Xochitl Gomez) is basically running her household for her, cleaning up and taking care of the children.

Dawn's worst moment on the series is when she becomes a total pushover with this character. It takes her a while to stand up for herself and realize that she can't be so exhausted all the time. She needs to be a kid, not an adult.

Elizabeth: Screams At Kristy Over Her Bridesmaids Dress

While it's admirable that Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer (Alicia Silverstone) lives frugally and doesn't want her kids to be spoiled, she has a bit of a breakdown when she learns that Watson spent hundreds of dollars on a new bridesmaid dress for Kristy.

Instead of approaching the situation calmly and rationally, Elizabeth freaks out and screams at her daughter. She's not kind at all and it's definitely her worst moment.

Kristy: Refuses To Let Dawn Join The BSC Properly At First

Sophie Grace really lets fans see how vulnerable Kristy Thomas can be at times, proving how talented the cast is.

When Dawn wants to join the BSC, Kristy won't let her join properly and gives her a test of babysitting for the bratty Barrett children. This isn't Kristy's best moment at all as it proves that she's jealous, petty, and controlling.
