NECA has unveiled The Invisible Man as the first figure in its new Universal Monsters line. The National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) is a frontrunner in the world of movie, TV, video-game, sports, and music collectibles. Since it was founded in 1996, the New Jersey company has amassed over 60 licenses that it actively makes collectibles for. In recent years, horror icons have become one of the most popular lines of products with NECA crafting figures and replicas for The Thing, Ash vs Evil Dead, Friday the 13th, and many more terrifying franchises.

Recently on Instagram, NECA revealed The Invisible Man as the first figure in its new Universal Monsters line to celebrate the month of May being Monster MAYhem. The figure itself is a near-perfect colorized replica of the titular character from 1933’s The Invisible Man. Also pictured are the props that come alongside the figure, including a fake nose, a wig, a book, a pair of goggles, and The Invisible Man’s infamous invisibility potion.

The post implies that The Invisible Man is simply the first of many figures in this Universal Monsters line. With the recent news that many of the Universal Monster movies will be receiving reboots, collectors can expect some of the other most famous monsters will also be receiving figures. While it's unclear exactly how many figures will be in this line, fan-favorite monsters such as Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Wolf Man, and The Mummy may very well be receiving figures from NECA over the course of May.
