Multiple Disney movie songs have been reimagined in a hilarious video about the NBA's return in Disney World. March proved to be a turning point for America in regards to coronavirus. On March 11, Tom Hanks revealed he tested positive for COVID-19, and within a few hours, Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert was confirmed to have coronavirus too. It wasn't long before the National Basketball Association decided to suspend the 2020 season, effective immediately.

Ever since the NBA season was paused, the league, owners, and players began figuring out a plan for how the season could be completed. These discussions led to the idea of creating a bubble in Disney World in Orlando, Florida, with 22 teams selected to participate in a few more regular-season games to determine playoff standings. The NBA season will officially resume at the end of July, and all 22 teams are currently inside the Disney World bubble preparing for the season to begin, even as Florida sets all-time highs for positive tests in a single day.

Ahead of the NBA's return, The Ringer's Emmy-winning series NBA Desktop brought Disney and the NBA together like never before. The latest episode of the show featured covers of multiple Disney movie songs that have been reimagined with lyrics about the NBA's return. The video includes hilarious new versions of "For the First Time In Forever" from Frozen, "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast, "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from Mulan, "How Far I'll Go" from Moana, "When You Wish Upon A Star" from Pinocchio, and "A Whole New World" from Aladdin.

The covers of these famous Disney songs each tackle a different talking point about the NBA's return to play in Disney World. "The First Time In Forever" shows the positive and negative views of the NBA starting back up, while "Be Our Guest" touches on the complaints that the players have had about their rooms, the food, and the internet speed. "How Far I'll Go" has Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James imagine he'll be known as the Greatest of All-Time if he wins a championship in the bubble, but it is immediately followed by "When You Wish Upon A Star" highlighting the unpredictability that comes with having J.R. Smith as a teammate. The lyrics and vocals are the strength of the video, but LeBron's head pasted on Moana's body is a bit unsettling.

Despite some of the issues players have with the bubble and the rising cases in Florida, the NBA has so far managed to keep the bubble intact. Out of the 322 players who are in Disney World, only two tested positive during the initial quarantine period. The data on testing from coaching staff, media members, and Disney employees have not been revealed, but the bubble appears to be working early on. If the NBA manages to keep everyone safe over the next several months and prevent an outbreak, then a new NBA Champion might be crowned this year after all. Now basketball fans will have to wait and see just how far LeBron James and his Lakers go.
