NBA 2K22 recently released on Friday, September 10, and gamers are flocking to see if it lives up to the hype it's had in recent weeks. Across both console generations, NBA 2K22 has had sweeping gameplay changes made to shooting, finishing, dribbling, and defense. The changes to finishing primarily deal with dunking. Timing with a meter now determines the success of aggressive contact dunks and alley-oops. There are 20 total finishing badges, including 5 that are brand new.

There are two editions of NBA 2K22 to choose from: the Standard Edition and the 75th Anniversary Edition. Standard is priced at $59.99 and $69.99 on last-gen and current-gen, respectively, and the 75th Anniversary Edition is priced at $99.99, including the game for both generations of consoles, as well as 100,000 VC and several MyTEAM perks. But it's worth noting that none of these editions (or whether current or last-gen) make any changes to the available badges, so gamers will still get all 20 of the finishing badges listed below regardless of which version they purchase.

The badge system helps gamers model their NBA 2K22 MyPlayer after the biggest stars in the NBA. Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has 57 total badges including 18 finishing badges, while reigning MVP Nikola Jokic has 46 total badges, including 14 finishing. These combinations go a long way toward making players distinct from one another.
