According to a Deadline report, two of four superhero series could move forward, including Gotham Knights, a new DC Comics adaptation that received a pilot order. With Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman both having been canceled, Naomi’s chances for renewal are a bit higher now than before.

Naomi season 2 will certainly see Kaci Walfall returning as the titular superhero, alongside Mary-Charles Jones as Naomi’s best friend Annabelle, Alexander Wraith as Dee, Mouzam Makkar as Naomi's adopted mom Jennifer McDuffie, and Daniel Puig as Nathan. The remainder of the show’s main cast will more than likely return as well. The majority of Naomi season 1 was about her self-discovery. After realizing her status as an alien who plays an important role on her birth world of Earth-29, much of Naomi’s time is spent learning about her origins and fighting Brutus, one of the 29 with powers who has hunted her since she was born. Nearing the end of season 1, Naomi was finally starting to use her powers to fight aggressors and was able to solve predicaments on her own without needing too much help from her vast support team, which included Dee, Zumbado, and her friends.
In season 2, Naomi’s powers will likely continue to grow and audiences will get to see her be more confident wielding her abilities and using them to help people. There is still enough mystery to fuel the sophomore season as the titular hero really comes into her own. The multiverse is vast and Naomi has only scratched the surface regarding what it holds. Naomi season 1 debuted at midseason on January 11, 2022. If the series is picked up for season 2, it will likely premiere its sophomore season in early or mid-January 2023. Production turnaround is faster on network television, so if Naomi season 2 begins filming in the summer of 2022, most or all of the episodes should be done before the season premieres in winter 2023. Keeping the show on The CW’s midseason schedule makes sense because it only has 13 episodes, with season 2 expected to receive the same episode order.
