The first official trailer for Nancy Drew season 3 has been released, teasing steamy developments between Nancy (Kennedy McMann) and Ace (Alex Saxon). Based on the enduringly popular series of novels, Nancy Drew premiered to a mixed reaction in 2019. Over time, however, acclaim for the series grew alongside a passionate fan following as blended intricately plotted mysteries with Stephen King-esque ghosts and general spookiness. As a result, Nancy Drew was rapidly renewed for a second and third season.

The first trailer for Nancy Drew season 3 has since been released by The CW. Though only a minute long, the first look promised plenty of thrills for fans to look forward to. As well as offering glimpses at a range of new cases, the trailer picked up the threads hanging at the end of Nancy Drew season 2. Namely, it featured Nancy's witchy ancestor, Temperance Hudson, tormenting the Drew Crew with foreboding prophecies. The trailer also offered a peek at Nancy and Ace getting surprisingly intimate. Fans have increasingly yearned for the coupling, which Nancy Drew teasing the romance throughout season 2. Now it seemed as though they will finally get their wish, though, given the nature of the show, things might not be as they appeared. Nancy Drew stars Kennedy McMann as Nancy Drew, Leah Lewis as George Fan, Tunji Kasim as Ned "Nick" Nickerson, Maddison Jaizani as Bess Marvin, Alex Saxon as Ace, Scott Wolf as Carson Drew, and Riley Smith as Ryan Hudson. As also glimpsed in the trailer, several familiar faces from around Horseshoe Bay will also appear, as will a range of new characters. Nancy Drew season 3 was previously confirmed to premiere on October 8, 2021, on The CW. An official spinoff centered around Tian Richards' Tom Swift was also ordered to series.
