Black Panther: Wakanda Forever saw one of Namor's ankle wings get injured during his battle with Shuri, a.k.a. the new Black Panther, but previous MCU projects might have already set up the perfect way to fix it. It was exciting to finally see Namor debut in the MCU since he is one of the original characters introduced in Marvel Comics. In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Namor debuted as the mutant King of Talokan, an advanced underwater nation on par with Wakanda, though Namor has a steadfast vendetta against the inhabitants of the surface world, exacerbated by the world governments' hunt for vibranium.

During the climactic battle of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Shuri becomes the Black Panther and battles Namor to stop his relentless attacks on Wakanda. At a key moment in this fight, Shuri gets the upper hand by damaging one of Namor's ankle wings, disabling his ability to fly, which helps to level the playing field. However, it's expected that his wing won't stay damaged in future MCU projects, as this physical trait is a key part of Namor's character, so Marvel Studios will need to find a way to believable fix his ailment. Luckily, previous MCU projects might have already provided the answer to how this can be done.

Namor's Broken Wing Can Get A Wakandan Replacement

Namor flying over Wakanda in Black Panther 2.

Namor's wing can be fixed with the help of Wakandan technology, which has already been proven to work in previous projects, most notably with Bucky Barnes' prosthetic vibranium arm. This could be the perfect way to mend Namor's broken wing in the MCU's future, especially now that Wakanda and Talokan have entered into a truce, which would be cemented by Wakanda offering to help fix the wing which their Black Panther damaged. There's no doubt that Wakanda has the technology to create a device reminiscent of a wing that would allow Namor to fly, as Bucky's arm seems to function exactly as a regular arm would.

Fixing Namor's Wings Would Cement His MCU Antihero Status

Namor is perhaps one of Marvel's most famous antiheroes, as he regularly comes into conflict with some of the more major superheroes in Marvel Comics, and is likely to in the MCU also. Namor's antihero status can be cemented if Wakanda makes him a prosthetic wing to replace his damaged one. This action would help Namor to understand that some outsiders can show compassion, and would also further develop the interesting dynamic between Namor and Shuri as two warriors defending their nations, but seeking only peace.

On the other hand, the Wakandans making a vibranium wing for Namor would also reinforce his belief that others can't be trusted, especially since the vibranium wing would act as a constant reminder that trusting others will only get him and his people hurt or worse. This would add some fantastic conflict to the character going into future MCU projects, which could see him battle against, and alongside, the Avengers in upcoming films. If Namor is gifted a new wing by Wakanda after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, he could become one of the most complex antiheroes in the MCU.
