Warning: Spoilers ahead for Black Panther: Wakanda ForeverBlack Panther: Wakanda Forever stars Lupita Nyong'o and Tenoch Huerta have seen the Namor thirst videos posted on TikTok, and react to one of them. Wakanda Forever closed MCU's Phase 4 with high marks and is the only MCU film of 2022 to be Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with an 84% score. It's also sent Disney's 2022 box office gains over $3 billion. In particular, it's been Huerta's Namore who is considered one of Wakanda Forever's strong points and among the MCU's best antagonists.
While promoting the film, Lupita Nyong'o posted a TikTok in which she and Tenoch Huerta react to a thirst video featuring Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's Namor. The TikTok starts with a closeup of Nyong'o seemingly alone, before panning to reveal Huerta standing beside her. Huerta seemed grateful and proud of the video, watching with both shock and appreciation. See the video for Nyong'o and Huerta's reactions below.
Will Tenoch Huerta's Namor Return To The MCU?
Wakanda Forever did a bold but sensible move in keeping Namor alive. Instead of killing the complex radical, Shuri (Letitia Wright) spares him and lets him go with only scratches and an ankle wing sliced off, a moment of mercy from a character who had been consumed by revenge for much of the movie. The end of Wakanda Forever sees Namor, while injured, alive and well, and possibly still plotting. Huerta's Namor ends the sequel by acknowledging that Wakanda and Talokan are now allies, and if Wakanda is threatened, Talokan will come to their aide. This would leave the African nation in his debt, something the cunning Namor would be sure to exploit. Given this, it's almost certain Namor will return in the MCU.
Namor yielding in Wakanda Forver could be seen as a sign of weakness, but it may be an exhibition of his cunning instead. In the comics, Namor's depicted as arrogant and highly willful. This decision to seemingly give up his cause may have been his plan all along in the hope of courting Shuri and Wakanda to his cause. And with Shuri's visit to the ancestral plane confirming the rage that exists within her, it's not impossible that Namor might succeed in ultimately winning her over.
It's also enlightening to see Huerta relishing in the success of his Black Panther: Wakanda Forever character. The same can be said about seeing he's getting along with his costars. His grateful reaction to the fame he's found in the MCU is another strong indicator that Namor could return.
