A new Spider-Man: Far From Home set video offers a possible first glimpse at Mysterio's costume. Spider-Man had plenty of big screen exposure prior to Tom Holland taking over the role for the MCU. As a result, Kevin Feige has made it clear that Marvel Studios' focus is on bringing new characters from his universe to theatrical life. This resulted in Michael Keaton playing Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming (who's returning for the sequel), which also included several other first time villains. The same will happen with Far From Home, as Jake Gyllenhaal has reportedly signed on to play Mysterio.

Mysterio has never been featured before in a live-action setting, and the potential of an actor of Gyllenhaal's caliber playing the part made many excited. Since the initial reports came, there's been no news about Mysterio's inclusion. Despite several leaks from the set, there's been no looks at Gyllenhaal (who still has yet to confirm his participation) in costume, or even what that costume might look like.

Thanks to a new set video for Far From Home shared on Twitter by Martin Knap, the first apparent look at Mysterio's costume can be seen. He's to the right of the frame kneeling on the ground. Since the footage is taken from a distance, the video can't confirm everything about his look, but the basic design appears to be in tact. The green body, purple cape, and even the gold gloves can be picked out by keen eyes. As for the fishbowl head, that's another story. Check out the video below.

Update: The same Twitter account has since released some closer looks at what appears to be Mysterio. Check them out below.

It's exciting to finally get to see Mysterio's costume in live-action, even if the source or quality of the look may not be what many would've liked. Still, Marvel looks to be keeping the design faithful to the source material, as they aren't shying away from the colors or somewhat ridiculous nature of his look. The one difference may be the fishbowl head, as that's not clearly identifiable in this footage. This could theroetically mean that the bowl will be added digitally so Gyllenhaal doesn't have to wear it throughout the film, that it's been knocked off in battle, or that he doesn't have it at all.

This first look at Mysterio comes in the same location as the recent leaks revealing Peter's new Spider-Man Noir inspired costume. That costume is shown in the above footage too, as Peter stands tall amidst the destruction in his new look. An interesting aspect to point out are the black cars that rush in as the battle is finished and Mysterio stands up. These may be S.H.I.E.L.D. cars reporting to help Spidey capture his newest foe. Now that this look has surfaced, maybe Marvel and Sony will release an official peek at the film to combat all the leaks. If not, more Spider-Man: Far From Home leaks could soon provide even better looks at Mysterio.
