In the magical world of Harry Potter, there are hundreds of spells from both the books and movies that fans remember and most likely "used" playing wizards in the backyard. Out of all the memorable spells like "Wingardium Leviosa" and "Avada Kedavra," perhaps the most well known is the Patronus spell, or "Expecto Patronum".
First introduced in Prisoner of Azkaban as a way to repel the soul-sucking dementors, it's a spell that requires a lot of experience and power, with not just anyone able to summon their Patronus. With the spell being an extension of your soul and "spirit animal" many different wizards conjure their Patronus based on their inner personality. Looking at the MBTI®, let's find each personality type's Patronus.
INTJ - Hyena
The hyena correlates with the INTJ because it is all about knowing how to see the truth beyond the lies. People with this personality type care about digging deeper and searching for the truth in everything. While some people take things for face value, the INTJ really wants to search for the answers that no one wants them to see.
INTJs only want the truth they don’t want anything to prevent them from finding and uncovering these facts. While others might be okay with believing in what people tell them, the INTJ does not simply settle for this.
INTP - Raccoon
Raccoons are naturally very curious, fearless to dumpster dive in residential areas, and traveling miles outside of their territory. This is certainly connected to the curious nature of the INTP, who always wants to learn and continue searching for new experiences.
INTPs are naturally curious, especially when it helps them grow and improve their current status. Much like the raccoon, the INTP often wants to be a bit more sneaky with their exploration, not always alerting people to their presence, this gives others the impression that they don't know as much as they actually d0.
ENTJ - Bear
Bears are almost always associated with strength and resilience, often being on the top of the food chain and being the kings of the forest. ENTJs are connected to their inner strength and have a natural ability to overcome adversity.
The bear comes to the ENTJ when they need to feel grounded in their own sense of strength and power so that they can keep moving forward towards their goals.
ENTP - Chimpanzee
Chimps are among the world's smartest creatures, possessing intelligence, a sense of adventure, and resourcefulness. They embody many of the strengths of the ENTP personality type.
They creatively build, invent games, enjoy playing, and have complex social relationships. Their innovative nature gives them the capacity to create their own spears to hunt for prey or even use long branches to dig for termites.
INFJ - Owl
Owls are often associated with intelligence and intuition, two attributes INFJs take pride in. The INFJ does have a rather powerful sense of intuition, and their owl spirit often shows them to follow and trust in this belief.
They might have a hard time really trusting in this at times, possibly searching outward for answers. When the INFJ is really struggling to rely on their own intuitive abilities, they can trust their gut to get to the bottom of their feelings.
INFP - Elephant
Elephants are among the most misunderstood creatures in the animal kingdom due to their gigantic stature but are actually delicate and sensitive creatures. They rely on each other and they also possess the skills to live on their own.
Like an INFP, Elephants are intuitive and sensitive to the world around them and can also be stubborn and creative.
ENFJ - Horse
Persistent, gentle, intelligent, horses capture many of the strengths of the ENFJ personality type. They are able to understand human emotions and usually work well with them, serving as transportation, work, and companionship.
ENFJs are very in touch with themselves and others and are charismatic. Much like a horse serves as the most important part of a ranch, the ENFJ is always looking to be out on top.
ENFP - Peacock
The beautiful peacock exudes confidence and natural beauty, with a desire to show off their best features every time they get a chance. Beautiful and proud and not afraid of expressing themselves openly, Peacocks are true ENFPs. The ENFP is capable of being this open and proud individual, they just need to look inside and find this part of themselves.
They represent optimism and looking at everything from a happier point of view, the signature move for an ENFP.
ISTJ - Dog
Reliable, practical, and loyal, the dog represents everything an ISTJ is. They are caring and resourceful animals, among the favorite domesticated animals.
We rely on dogs just as much as they rely on us and they often have an easy time reading human emotions and comforting us accordingly.
ISFJ - Penguin
Loyal, protective, and intelligent, penguins have a lot of qualities in common with ISFJs. Penguins are well known for their complex social abilities, mating and pairing for life! They also have a remarkable memory for detail, being able to navigate the snow to migrate to the same spot every year.
Like ISFJs, penguins are also fiercely loyal, staying monogamous and recognizing their partners’ song, even in noisy colonies where hundreds of penguins are searching for each other.
ESTJ - Wolf
Wolves are well known for their sharp intelligence and resourcefulness, able to work in groups or on their own. The ESTJ would probably be the alpha wolf, leading the pack and organizing the best hunting methods.
As loyal as they come, wolves will actually develop very close relationships and bonds with each other. When they mate they mate for life, and may even sacrifice themselves for their pack. This steadfast loyalty and determination is something we love about most ESTJs.
ESFJ - Whale
Whales may be a staggering size, but they are among the most gentle sea creatures. They bring life to the oceans and people line up just to watch them swim and live their life.
As ESFJs, they are cooperative, devoted, and selfless, getting along with all other sea life and representing freedom and gentleness.
ISTP - Fox
Foxes are known for being sneaky and conniving but they are also resourceful and intelligent. Like the ESTP, foxes trust their instincts and use their quick-thinking skills to survive and succeed in life.
They are ceaselessly curious, playful, and often friendly, especially when they are domesticated. They make great pets and are among the most flexible and limber of their canine ancestors.
ISFP - Panther
Panthers are very independent yet intimidating creatures, often found deep in rainforest or jungles. They are a rarity but something you wouldn't want to run into as they are fierce protectors of their territory.
ISFPs are known for being resourceful and always exploring, and a panther's territory can go for miles, making them great explorers.
ESTP - Eagle
Eagles are very adaptable creatures, they are seen in almost any terrain and are among the top of their food chain. They are intimidating creatures but are majestic at the same time, making them a great representation of the USA.
They take a risk to get their prey and they are often seen taking on much bigger prey, which goes hand in hand with an ESTP's ability to take risks.
ESFP - Otter
Otters are very lovable and energetic creatures, often representing adventure and childlike innocence. They are naturally curious and extremely compassionate, known for their adorable sense of affection towards each other.
Around an ESFP, life is never boring, so we assume you'd never get bored with an otter.
