Noah shared similar sentiments about his dad Troy, saying that when it comes to dating, he puts all of his eggs in one basket.
Troy was smitten by Karen from the moment he laid eyes on her, and he asked her out as soon as he could. Despite their kids meddling with their relationship by trying to sabotage their dates and time together, the two always found their way back to each other. On the My Mom Your Dad episodes, their relationship blossomed fast, and Troy and Karen made plans for their future. However, in My Mom Your Dad episode 6, Karen left the show abruptly. She expressed how heartbroken she was about needing to leave because she loved the connection with Troy. Karen gave Troy a letter before she departed. In the letter, she let Troy know that she wanted to reconnect with him again in the future. Shortly after Karen left, Troy exited the show too. He told his fellow cast members that there was no reason for him to stick around since Karen was gone. Troy mentioned that he was looking for a love that felt comforting and he believed that he had found that with Karen.
Since Troy and Karen left the reality hit My Mom Your Dad, fans are wondering about the fate of their relationship. In an exclusive with People, the couple revealed that they are still very much together. Karen posted the article on her Instagram with the caption, “Finally we can let everyone know”. In recent interviews, Karen revealed that she and Troy connected shortly after the show and continued to develop their relationship. In an Instagram Live video with Troy, Karen revealed that the two talk multiple times throughout the day, on the phone and through FaceTime. In the interview with People, Karen expressed that communication and effort are very important in terms of keeping their relationship strong. The two travel back and forth to see each other and spend time together. Their relationship is long-distance, with Karen living in Miami and Troy residing in Atlanta.
Karen also told People that getting married is something that they both want to happen for them eventually. She told Page Six that it’s an issue that they have seriously discussed. She added that if Troy is ever to pop the question, she knows how she will answer. However, as of right now the two are still getting to know each other and learning more about each other's families.
In the Instagram Live with Troy, Karen revealed that she spends time with Troy’s children when he isn't present, to develop a good relationship with them. Karen mentioned that Troy's family has been very welcoming and that she feels loved and accepted.
