The trailer for My Hero Academia season 6 has finally dropped! After the season 5 cliffhanger, audiences have been desperate to know more about My Hero Academia season 6 and they’re finally getting their first real look. My Hero Academia started off somewhat light-hearted and has been progressively developing into a darker tone. The successful anime really settled into this tonal shift during season 5 with the ever-looming threat of the League of Villains, leaving way for an intense future as the heroes prepare to face challenges like never before.

A glimpse at My Hero Academia season 6 was shown in a teaser trailer back in December 2021, rallying excitement for the upcoming season. This teaser revealed that the characters were preparing for an “all-out war”. This foreboding was soon followed by the promise that My Hero Academia season 6 would feature the biggest battle of the series, creating high expectations for what's to come in season 6.

Studio BONES has made quick work of My Hero Academia season 6 and is now revealing the first look in a new trailer (via TOHO Animation). This most recent trailer follows the same theme as many of the previously released promotions for season 6, showing both the pro-heroes and the students gearing up for an inevitable battle against the Paranormal Liberation Front. While My Hero Academia season 5 received polarizing reviews (in part due to the unexpected rearrangement of the manga storyline for the anime), this trailer looks promising for those hoping for a more action-packed season. There is plenty more My Hero Academia for audiences to enjoy before season 6 even premieres, with two special episodes expected to release this summer. These OVA episodes have reportedly already premiered in Japan and are said to make their way to other countries eventually, but there is no official release date as of yet. Both episodes take a refreshing break from the anime’s current intensity with the first episode encouraging a quirk-fueled game of baseball, and the second following Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki during their internship at Endeavor's hero agency.

Other promotional material has shown brief looks at My Hero Academia season 6 with key visuals of the heroes rallying behind Endeavor and the heroes-in-training powering up for battle. A non-specific Fall release date was attached to the previous teasers, and that appears to remain the plan. As Fall fast approaches, it's likely even more My Hero Academia season 6 images and trailers will pop up, but this newest trailer gives the best idea yet of what to expect from season 6.
