The My Hero Academia season 5 OVAs finally receive an international release date. It was previously announced that My Hero Academia viewers would receive two OVAs this summer ahead of season 6. The first episode titled “HLB” (short for Hero League of Baseball) is based on some prior released My Hero Academia April Fools' Day art. The episode sees the pro-heroes and the students duke it out in a game of baseball where quirks are encouraged. The characters are divided into two teams (Gang Orca's Orcas and Shishido's Lionels) only to be interrupted by a villain. Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki head back to their internship at the Endeavor agency for the second episode titled “Laugh! As if you are in Hell!”

The latest My Hero Academia OVA episodes have already aired in Japan. Fortunately, their worldwide debut isn’t far behind. As shared by AIR_News01 on Twitter, the My Hero Academia special episodes will start streaming on Crunchyroll on August 1. For those who just can’t wait, Crunchyroll is sharing these episodes at Anime Expo in Los Angeles on July 1.

Following soon after these exciting special episodes is the premiere of My Hero Academia season 6. The upcoming season promises to feature the biggest battle of the series, contrasting the more light-hearted tone of the OVAs. Viewers have a busy schedule ahead with the special episodes in August and the My Hero Academia season 6 fall premiere likely not too far behind them. Hopefully, more information about the OVAs is revealed in the coming weeks.
