Kyoka Jiro is one of the most talented characters and students in My Hero Academia. She writes music and plays basically every instrument. And because of her headphone quirk and musical abilities, she's also the most punk rock character on the show.
Cosplayers noticed Jiro's nonchalant and sometimes shy attitude and wanted to bring it to life. These cosplayers bring out Jiro's awesome looks from her hero costume to school uniform to even pajamas.
BreadCon
Jas is a cosplay consultant who helps cosplayers keep themselves organized and provides tips and tricks through cosplay tutorials. She has a hashtag she uses for her followers to stay up-to-date on new information and posts, #jointhejellysquad.
While Jas admits she's not a singer, she's a great lip syncer. She proves it on her TikTok account, especially when she does an MHA and Spongebob Squarepants crossover by cosplaying Jiro while singing "Goofy Goober."
Real-Life Rocker
Chicago-based cosplayer and prop-maker, Lisa, is also a fitness influencer, barber, plays guitar, and is a photographer. Much like Jiro, Lisa is musically inclined and even does metal vocals, though she has yet to do it in Jiro cosplay.
She first wore Jiro at Anime Milwaukee and took some photos with @steviedphotography. And at Colossalcon, she joined a group of MHA cosplayers sporting Jiro's band tanktop look.
Upgrades
Artemis is an Orlando-based cosplayer and Kyoka Jiro was her first anime character cosplayer. She's no stranger to cosplaying heroes since her costumes include Silk, Wonder Woman, and Gamora.
She specifies that this Kyoka outfit is just her first attempt at Jiro and she can't wait to upgrade her look for future cons.
Stay Back, I'll Take This
Dutch cosplayer, Jay, is currently working on another My Hero Academia cosplay, Tamaki Amajiki but his Kyoka Jiro is unmatched in the use of props and how well he embodies Jiro's demeanor.
During a photoshoot with choribow photography, Jay got into the character of Jiro through poses capturing Jiro's infatuation with music and the iconic crouch she does before blasting her 'heartbeat distortion' power.
Wig Reminders
Arlin's Instagram features captions in both English and Spanish and quotes from the characters she cosplays. She first cosplayed Jiro when she wanted to do a makeup look and found the purple wig that perfectly reminded her of Kyoka Jiro.
The Brazilian cosplayer also provides tutorials on props and makeup looks in their Instagram highlights.
Acoustic Jiro
Like most of the cosplayers on this list, Jiro isn't Dakotah's only My Hero Academia character. But she did just start styling a "rocker" wig for Jiro, receiving great feedback from her followers.
Most of her Jiro-related content can be found in her Reels section on Instagram. Fans that love to ship characters or even create fun head-canons can interact with Dakotah's screen-accurate or re-imagined Kyoka Jiro.
Underrated Character
Known on Instagram as The Dragon Princess, she shared her Jiro cosplay to coincide with the 'Character v Cosplayer' trend and nailed the look and the attitude.
While she isn't a huge fan of My Hero Academia, she still cosplayed this beloved character and shared her thoughts on why MHA isn't one of her top animes but why Jiro deserved more time and exploration as a character in the show.
Courage
Creator, Dancer, Director, & Cosplayer, Liz has most recently cosplayed Rui Ayanaki from Demon Slayer and has even performed as Deku and Kyoka Jiro with The Corps Dance Crew.
Her Jiro cosplay is one she describes as close to her because she relates to the fact that Jiro chose to be a hero even when she could have pursued music, Jiro had the courage to take a different path.
Casual Cosplay
Gamer and artist, Aubrey (aka Aubrelius) focuses on cosplay, makeup, and editing. Their cosplays range from anime to Disney, to Marvel, and more.
They were able to throw together a casual cosplay of Kyoka Jiro making it look like something Jiro would absolutely wear on a day off in My Hero Academia.
My Hero Monday
37-year-old cosplayer and mom, Kaya, brought Jiro to life for the #MyHeroMonday on Instagram. She made the pleather choker, added rips to her own pink shirt, and even borrowed an electric guitar from her husband to complete the Jiro look.
She's also worn this cosplay in collaboration with Tokoyami cosplayer, Ixtran.
