Whitney Way Thore of My Big Fat Fabulous Life has delivered sad news to fans, revealing her mother, Babs Thore, passed away at age 76. Whitney often shared her mother with her TV followers and has appeared on the show since season 1. Whitney loved showcasing how her mother and father, Glenn Thore, held steadfast to their love, aspiring to have a relationship like theirs one day.

Fans were saddened as Whitney took to her social media to share her grief after the loss of her mother on December 7. The My Big Fat Fabulous Life star shared a picture collage of all her favorite memories with fans. Whitney revealed that Babs had died from cerebral amyloid angiopathy, an untreatable progressive condition caused when proteins enter the brain's blood vessels. The condition caused brain bleeding for Babs (hemorrhagic stroke.) Babs died surrounded by her husband, Glenn, son, Hunter, and Whitney.

According to Whitney, Babs was renowned for her humor, Southern charm, and beauty. Whitney ended her touching tribute by sharing that her mother loved her new-found television career more than fans knew and that, above all, Babs was the best mom.
