Nowadays, there is a reality show for just about everything (whether it is doing tasks in a jungle or getting the chance to become a business associate in a boardroom). Reality television has exploded and is one of the most popular forms of media for people to consume, which is why so many celebrities now appear on shows.

Celebrities with all sorts of careers head to reality television now, whether it be from sport, acting, or even the music world. Some of the biggest names in music across all genres have appeared on reality shows in recent years, showcasing different sides of their personality, or learning skills people never knew they had.

Celebrity Big Brother is one of the most popular reality shows of all time, which has brought in a whole range of different housemates (some of which have been huge stars). In the second-ever season of the UK show, Mark Owen was one of the big names to have appeared.

Owen is best known as a member of the legendary boy band, Take That, and that popularity clearly helped him as he went on to win the second season of the show. Owen defeated Les Dennis and Melinda Messenger in the finals.

When people think about Gene Simmons, they typically think about heavy metal and rock and roll. As the lead singer of the rock band, Kiss, Gene is better known for being covered in face paint, putting together some of the greatest rock shows of all time.

But in 2007 he swapped the guitars for suits and entered the boardroom in The Apprentice. The show was eventually won by Piers Morgan, but Gene was eliminated in week three, having raised $20,000 for his charity of choice.

Dancing With The Stars is one of the most well-known reality shows of all time, and is one that has seen a lot of great celebrity names appear over the years. In the anniversary 10th season of the show, Nicole Scherzinger took to the dancefloor, alongside Derek Hough.

Nicole fully embraced the series and, not only did she impress with dances, but she went all the way to win. Nicole was in the finals with Erin Andrews and former figure skater, Evan Lysacek.

Nicole Scherzinger isn't the only member of The Pussycat Dolls that has appeared on a dancing reality show. In the UK, Strictly Come Dancing offers up the same style show that Dancing With The Stars does, and it has seen a lot of great musicians appear over the years.

Ashley Roberts just so happened to be one of those, appearing in season 16 of the show. However, unlike her bandmate, Ashey wasn't able to win the show, instead, she finished as a joint runner-up.

The Masked Singer is a perfect reality show for musicians to be part of due to the fact that the whole premise of the show is about singing. However, it allows the celebrities involved to showcase different elements of their personality due to them being able to hide their identity.

Legendary singer, Aloe Blacc is one of several musicians to have been involved in the show, taking part in the fourth season of the series. He was underneath the costume, Mushroom, and he ended up finishing in second place behind eventual winner, LeAnn Rimes.

The Circle has proven to be a real hit with fans since it burst onto the scene, bringing social media to the forefront of reality television in a new and exciting format. Giving celebrities a chance to appear on the show has only made it more fun, and Duncan James was involved in the UK celebrity show in 2021.

Unfortunately for the Blue boy band member, it wasn't a show that he thrived on. He was ultimately eliminated first after being blocked early on, even though he was playing as himself on the show.

In a spin-off to the popular reality series, The Masked Singer, this show saw celebrities once again hide their identities behind masks and great costumes, only this time it was their dancing skills that were on display, not their singing.

It allowed the celebrities to really unwind and showcase themselves in a confident manner, and the first season of the show saw plenty of great names. One of those just so happened to be legendary singer, Brian McKnight.

Willis, who made his name by being the lead singer of the band, Busted, was involved in the sixth season of the show, and he absolutely thrived in the jungle. He took on all trials and challenges and went all the way to win the series, defeating fellow singers Myleene Klass and Jason Donavon in the finals.
