The upcoming Warner Bros. Super Smash Bros-inspired platform fighting game MultiVersus is confirmed to feature both Steven Universe and Garnet from the popular cartoon Steven Universe, but there are many more Crystal Gems that it could include as well. Steven befriended a wide variety of Gems during his adventures, and many would make great additions to the game's roster. There are also some villains from Steven Universe that could be included too.

The latest platform fighting game, MultiVersus, is confirmed to include Batman, Shaggy, Tom & Jerry, and Steven Universe, among others. The full roster is currently unknown, but two Steven Universe characters, Steven and Garnet, have been confirmed. They are both formidable fighters, and fans of Steven Universe will no doubt enjoy using them in the game, but they are far from the only Crystal Gems that could end up in MultiVersus.

Pearl, Amethyst, and Jasper are all beloved and classic members of the cast, and as such, they would be prime contenders if Warner Bros. decides to add more Steven Universe characters to its roster. Having the opportunity to play as the Crystal Gems in a current-gen game should be an exciting prospect for many Steven Universe fans, and though its unlikely that the show's entire line-up could feature in the game, there are other pivotal characters who deserve to make the cut. Which characters will be in MultiVersus won't be confirmed until the game releases, so for now, it's a matter of waiting.

Crystal Gems That Could Be In MultiVersus: Pearl

Steven Universe Pearl

Pearl is one of the classic Crystal Gems, and also one of the most iconic. She fought alongside Garnet and Rose Quartz to defend Earth from the Diamond Authority, and later, with both of them and Amethyst to gather the corrupted Gems at the temple. Throughout the series, fans saw her grapple with her identity and past trauma. If MultiVersus gets more Steven Universe characters, any fan would be overjoyed to see her join the game.

If Pearl were to be included in MultiVersus, she could be a strategic fighter with a focus on executing combo moves and taking advantage of invisibility frames. Her spear and laser blasts have the potential to make her versatile and adaptable to a wide range of play styles. Her inclusion could set apart MultiVersus as not just another copy of Super Smash Bros. She might also be able to charge her laser in order to make it more powerful, or fire small shots in order to stun enemies and stop them from advancing. Her ability to create holographic clones of herself could prove to be an interesting mechanic.

If final attacks are included in MultiVersus, as they are in its inspiration, Warner Bros. has a few options to choose from in regards to Pearl's. She could conjure a multitude of holographic versions of herself to run around the field, or a giant one to deliver a powerful blow to a single point on the screen. Her homemade robot from the show could make an appearance to deliver a powerful combo, or she could even use her vast collection of swords to skewer her opponents. Smash Bros-like game could benefit greatly from the inclusion of this feature, and from showing Pearl unleashing a devastating final attack on her opponents.

Amethyst Is Another Crystal Gem Who Could Join MultiVersus

Amethyst is another one of the classic Crystal Gems. Although she didn't fight in the first Gem War, she was a true member of Steven's family and a key fighter when recovering corrupted Gems. Fans watched as she struggled with confidence and her ability as a Crystal Gem, and if included in MultiVersus, she could quickly become a fan favorite.

Amethyst's playstyle may focus on mobility and recovery. Her whip could allow her to both attack from afar and grab onto the edges of stages, while her roller dash ability would be useful to attack players while avoiding damage. Her quirky and unique attacks could add a lot to the rumored cast for Warner Bros' fighting game. Her frequent transformation could translate into some interesting attacks in-game, such as biting with a crocodile head or using an enlarged fist.

For her final attack, Amethyst might transform into her most well-known alternate form, the Purple Puma, which could give her invincibility and powerful attacks that would launch opposing players off the platforms. She may also use an enhanced version of her roller dash, in order to deliver a powerful blow that would launch enemies away. There's also the possibility of the other Amethysts of the series, commonly known as the "Famethyst" to make an appearance in order to deliver a group attack. WB's Smash Bros-style fighter game has a lot of options if it chooses include this feature.

Steven Universe Villain Jasper Could Join MultiVersus

Jasper was one of Steven Universe's major antagonists, and is one of the most powerful Gems in existence. She was originally a soldier in Pink Diamond's army, but when Pink Diamond faked her death and became Rose Quartz, she was moved to Yellow Diamond's army. She held a great deal of animosity for Steven when they first met, because she saw him as Rose Quartz and therefore responsible for shattering her Diamond, but eventually she redeemed herself, and became a true Crystal Gem. If she were to be included in MultiVersus, Steven Universe fans would be overjoyed.

Jasper has the potential to be a true powerhouse. Even if she were to be added later as DLC in the Smash Bros-like fighting game, she could become one of the strongest fighters in the game. She could be a tank, slow moving but able to take a great deal of damage, and focused on launching opponents with meteor attacks. She could use her helmet to launch opponents away, and her rolling dash to bowl them over. Grappling and throwing, if included in MultiVersus, have the potential to be a major part of her playstyle. Delivering powerful punches and headbutts, or jumping into the air and stomping on her opponents, could all be powerful moves in her arsenal.

Jasper's final attack has the potential to be the strongest of all the Crystal Gems. Transforming into her corrupted form to dash into opponents would be a great finishing move for her, and would be something that fans would love to use. Alternatively, she could also use a more powerful roller dash, or call down a barrage of blasts from a Gem ship. There's also the possibility of fusing with Lapis Lazuli to become Malachite, one of the most deadly and toxic fusions in the series. MultiVersus could greatly benefit from Jasper's inclusion, and that of other Crystal Gems.
