After 36 seasons, The Challenge has seen its share of legendary contestants. Fans love the show not just for the nail-biting challenges, but also for the rivalries and partnerships that have built up over the years. For ages fans have clamored for a greatest-of-all-time season featuring their favorite Challenge legends, and with the launch of new streaming platform Paramount+, fans are finally getting what they’ve been asking for.

At its inception, The Challenge featured only former cast members of the MTV shows The Real World and Road Rules. But over time the competition show began casting reality TV stars from shows like Big Brother, Are You The One?, and Love Island, to name a few. But there are several Challenge veterans that fans want to return to the show. Recent news about the newly-launched Paramount+ streaming service confirms their prayers have been answered.

Fans will not only have access to prior seasons, but a trailer was released that confirms The Challenge: All Stars season. The trailer features a helmet engraved with the names of the show legends who will be returning to compete. According to Us Weekly, the season promises a $500,000 prize and will have 22 competitors total, though only six have been confirmed so far. Mark Long, Trishelle Cannatella, Beth Stolarczyk, Syrus Yarbrough, Ruthie Alcaide, and Eric ‘Big Easy’ Banks were all named in the trailer as confirmed cast members.

Though some fans feel that the all-stars have been out of the game too long, there are other veterans who have proven you can still teach an old dog new tricks. Wes Bergmann and CT Tamburello have remained powerful challengers after two decades, so there’s no reason why the confirmed all stars couldn’t kill it in the competition. Fans who are critical of this season’s rookies are eager for a season featuring experienced and skilled players.

The All Stars season of The Challenge has fans pumped up and ready to see their old favorites reignite the series’ iconic rivalries. Previous seasons have been full of intense and entertaining competitors who are ready for another chance at Challenge glory. It’s been a long time since fans have seen some of the confirmed all-stars, so there’s no telling how they’ll be in competition again, but there’s no doubt that they’ll make for fantastic television.
