The latest season of MTV's The Challenge, Spies, Lies, and Allies, may have only ended a short time ago. But given what a reality TV mainstay the series has become, it comes as no surprise that fans are already speculating about what might be coming in the next season.

Reddit is a veritable hotbed of The Challenge discussions and spoilers, and unsurprisingly, one of the favorite topics of conversation is the potential dream cast for the next season. What male competitors, in particular, are Redditors eager to see in season 38 of the series?

Jay Starrett

It comes as no surprise that Challenge fans want to see Jay Starrett return for another season of the series. He cemented himself as a Challenge legend when he managed to best current back-to-back Challenge winner, CT, in an elimination, but even putting that aside, he's a great, smart competitor.

He's a Challenge super-fan as well, and given his particular athletic skill set, he's an ideal candidate for killing it in a final, so viewers are hoping he'll get there eventually.

Cohutta Grindstaff

In a series that seems to be rife with problematic contestants, Cohutta Grindstaff has been consistently beloved by fans simply because he is such a genuinely good person.

He brings the kind of vibes that Challenge fans want to see, and unlike many of the current cast, he's not on The Challenge because he's desperate to become an Instagram star. Plus, his disqualification alongside Casey in All Stars 2 was really unfair to him, so he deserves another shot at glory.

Kyle Christie

Kyle Christie-The Challenge

Current Challenge contestants complain that Kyle Christie is a shady snake, but that is exactly what viewers seem to love about him. He has a certain irresistible charm that makes him a lot of fun to watch, and he gives some of the best confessionals and wittiest one-liners out of the current crop of players.

He came within literal seconds of winning Spies, Lies, and Allies, and he and Tori's devastation was palpable, which is probably another reason why Redditors want him back.

Marlon Williams

Real World: Portland alum Marlon Williams has only appeared in one season of The Challenge, way back in Rivals II when he was partnered with Jordan Wiseley. But the two of them made it to the final, and while Jordan became a Challenge mainstay, Marlon never returned.

Despite his long hiatus from the series, hardcore fans still want to see him return. Obviously, he was partnered with a strong player, but a lot of viewers want to see how Marlon would perform on his own.

Theo Campbell

Theo Campbell made a name for himself in the game as soon as he debuted in War of the Worlds, and after he made the final in his first season, fans really expected him to have an illustrious Challenge career.

However, in a horrible accident, he was hit in the face with a champagne cork, and according to an Instagram post, he was permanently blinded in his right eye. This seemingly would mark the end of his Challenge career, but fans are still hoping he'll eventually be able to return.

Darrell Taylor

Darrell is one of the Challenge GOATs who took a long break from the show, but since he made his return, fans have not gotten tired of him yet. He has one of the most impressive winning records in the history of the series, as he won his first four seasons of The Challenge in a row.

And regardless of how much time has passed, he has still demonstrated that he is ferocious competition, so Redditors are always thrilled to see him teach the rookies what a real Challenge vet can do.

Ed Eason

Ed Eason made his debut as a replacement for Nam Vo, who was disqualified from the season early on in Spies, Lies, and Allies. And it seemed like this player from Netflix's The Circle had little idea of what show he was even on when he arrived in The Challenge.

But that weirdly worked out for him in the best way, as his "just here to have fun" attitude, along with his awesome personality, made a huge impression on viewers who are eager to see him return.

Tony Raines

According to Redditors, it's Tony Time again. It takes a special Challenger to become a legend in the game for eating an enormous bowl of mayonnaise in a matter of minutes, but Tony Raines managed to make it happen.

His competitive and personal record on The Challenge has been spotty, but he got better with time, and when he finally learned to merge his goofy personality with a genuine desire to win, no matter what, it really won the audience over.

Jordan Wiseley

In prior seasons, he was one of the most consistent players on The Challenge, however, since Jordan's breakup with Tori, he seems to also be on a break from the series. Ergo, it comes as no great shock that Reddit fans are desperate to see him return.

Not only is he one of the toughest competitors on the show, but his ornery personality and difficulty getting along with the cast always make for some entertaining reality TV.

Wes Bergmann

Wes is another Challenge mainstay that fans still can't get enough of. Along with legends like Johnny Bananas and CT, Wes is truly one of the faces of The Challenge, and Redditors are likely even more keen to see him return because his recent appearances have been tragically short.

Unfortunately, nearly every person on the show is aware that they'd be better off getting rid of Wes as soon as possible, but viewers would like to see a lot more of him.
