The Ms. Pat Show season 2 trailer is here, and Denise is back. The critically-acclaimed sitcom streaming on BET+ will finally return this August after a year-long hiatus. Starring stand-up comedian Patricia Williams as matriarch Ms. Pat, the Emmy-nominated comedy follows the Carsons, a Black family from Atlanta, as they navigate their new life after moving to a conservative, predominately white, small town in Indiana. Tami Roman stars as Denise, Pat's older sister, who is forced to live with the family as her struggles with addiction and irresponsible nature prevents her from keeping a job. The season 1 finale saw a blowout between Ms. Pat and Denise, with Denise ultimately moving out of Pat's house. Now fans have their first look at season 2, which sees her return.

It seems Denise is back and ready to wreak more havoc on her younger sister. Despite tensions between the two, their on-screen chemistry and comedic timing provide necessary relief between the underlying problems the show addresses, including past trauma,  confronting personal demons, and self-love. Denise and Pat's relationship offers some of the best jokes on the show, and Denise's presence gives insight into Ms. Pat's own struggles. It appears season 2 of The Ms. Pat Show will continue to shine a light on these topics, and further the family's journey to healing, and fortunately, thanks to Denise, include plenty of laughs.
