New set photos from Ms. Marvel show Kamala Khan using her Inhuman polymorph powers. Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is introducing several new heroes who can play significant roles in the future. Marvel Studios announced in 2019 that the long-awaited debut of fan-favorite character Kamala Khan will get a solo Disney+ series. Ms. Marvel is slated to arrive on the streaming service in 2021 prior to Iman Vellani reprising the role for The Marvels.

Kamala Khan only made her comics debut in 2013, but the Pakistani-American teenage hero quickly resonated with fans. This has made Ms. Marvel one of the most anticipated MCU Disney+ shows. Filming began in late 2020 and immediately brought unofficial looks of Vellani in different versions of the Ms. Marvel costume. Many are anxiously waiting to see Kamala Khan's powers in action, as her Inhuman abilities allow her to grow her entire body or just specific limbs. This will require plenty of CGI to pull off, which is why Ms. Marvel's powers weren't highlighted in previous set photos.

Even though Ms. Marvel wrapped filming a month ago, new set photos from the final leg of production have now surfaced online. The images come from the Instagram account onset.unseen and show Kamala Khan using her powers. Based on her outstretched arm in the second image, it appears Kamala's arm or hand will grow in post-production to protect herself and/or fellow Inhuman, Kamran (Rish Shah).

This scene previously gave fans the first look at Iman Vellani in Kamala Khan's final costume for Ms. Marvel. She and Kamran are in the middle of a police barricade, and it appears as though she is there to protect him. Thanks to these new photos, it can be deduced that this will involve Ms. Marvel using her powers in some fashion. Unfortunately, these photos don't provide an actual look at Kamala's powers in action or what they will look like at the end of the day. The good news, though, is that Marvel Studios has shown an ability to deliver top-tier VFX work on their first few Disney+ shows, so hopefully Kamala's powers look great whenever they're used.

It won't be until the first Ms. Marvel trailer arrives that fans will get to see her powers in action. Since the show isn't expected to release on Disney+ until sometime this fall, the wait for a trailer might still be a while. Marvel already released a few seconds of footage in late 2020, but that focused on Kamala's non-superhero life. Whenever the full Ms. Marvel trailer arrives, that should give fans at least a few moments to witness Kamala Khan being a superhero.
