Marvel Studios has hired multiple directors to work on the upcoming Ms. Marvel Disney+ show, including the directing duo behind Bad Boys for Life. The Marvel Cinematic Universe will move to the small screen in Phase 4 with the release of multiple shows on Disney+. Some shows like The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will make supporting characters from the movies the leads, while those like Ms. Marvel will introduce brand new characters, such as Kamala Khan before they appear in the films.

Kamala Khan has only been around in Marvel Comics since 2013, but she has quickly become one of their most popular characters. She was at the center of the new Marvel's Avengers video game and will make her MCU debut in the next few years thanks to Disney+. Marvel Studios announced plans for Ms. Marvel last summer and have continued to search for an actress to play the lead role. While the Pakistani-American Inhuman has yet to be cast, it is now known who will direct the series.

TheDirect broke the news that Bad Boys for Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah were hired for the series. THR, adds confirmation that Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Meera Menon will also direct episodes of the series. Obaid-Chinoy has won two Oscars for Best Documentary, Short Subject. At the same time, Menon's credits include several comic book TV shows as she previously worked on The PunisherThe Walking Dead, and TitansAdil and Bilall's involvement was previously rumored, and now it is confirmed.

With this collection of directors, Marvel has found a talented group to work on Ms. Marvel. The additions of Adil and Bilall isn't too surprising given the previous rumor of their involvement, as well as the duo previously confirming that they talked to Kevin Feige about joining the MCU. Now, we know that this will come with Ms. Marvel. Meanwhile, Obaid-Chinoy brings an Oscar-winning director into the fold, while Menon gives the team someone with plenty of TV experience.

Now that directors for Ms. Marvel are known, it might not be too long before the casting for Kamala Khan is announced. With She-Hulk, the director was announced just a few days before it was revealed Tatiana Maslany would play She-Hulk, so a similar timeline could unfold for Ms. Marvel potentially. This isn't a guarantee that the actress who will play Kamala will be revealed next week, but it would be the next big announcement that Marvel could drop. The studio is making a lot of progress on Phase 4, with Jonathan Majors cast as Kang in Ant-Man 3 this week too. Now, we'll have to hope that the updates continue with the long-awaited casting of Kamala in Ms. Marvel.
