Another tease of Ms. Marvel season 2 comes from directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah following rumors that Marvel Studios renewed the series. The first season of Ms. Marvel released on Disney+ over the summer as subscribers got a chance to meet the Marvel Cinematic Universe's newest hero, Kamala Khan. The series starred Iman Vellani in the lead role as Marvel's first Muslim and Pakistani superhero. Ms. Marvel earned incredibly positive reviews upon its release, as the coming-of-age story brought Kamala's teenage life together with real Pakistan history and a surprise mutant origin twist. It immediately helped make Kamala Khan a character audiences want to see more of.

Marvel Studios already has confirmed part of Iman Vellani's MCU future, as she will return to star in The Marvels. Her appearance was directly set up in Ms. Marvel's final post-credits scene, as Kamala swaps places with her idol, Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), due to her mysterious bangle. Audiences will see Kamala Khan, Captain Marvel, and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) team up in The Marvels next year, but eyes are already on Ms. Marvel's next potential solo adventure. There is great interest in seeing another potential season of Ms. Marvel that can further integrate her into the MCU, and possibly even pay off those X-Men teases.

There has been no official movement on Ms. Marvel season 2, but a recent rumor suggested that it was renewed in secret at Marvel Studios. That is what makes a recent post by Ms. Marvel co-directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah potentially quite notable. The directors shared a video on Instagram of them talking about working on the series, and the caption reads, "Just reminiscing on our time spent in the MCU, who’s ready for season 2?!" The caption teases they could be involved in Ms. Marvel season 2, if it does happen.

The tease of Ms. Marvel season 2 from Adil and Bilall comes after a tumultuous point in their careers. Shortly after the success of their Ms. Marvel episodes, Warner Bros. Discovery canceled their Batgirl movie starring Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon. They are now remembering their time with the MCU quite fondly according to this post and could be involved in Ms. Marvel season 2. It is worth noting that several other creatives with the show have said they did not think a second season would happen. Iman Vellani even recently noted that she knew nothing about Ms. Marvel season 2.

There might not be any clarity on if Ms. Marvel season 2 is happening yet, but it would be a move that many would support. Since the MCU started making Disney+ shows, Loki is the only live-action series to get a second season even though fans have asked for sophomore efforts from WandaVision, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, and more. It is unfortunate that Ms. Marvel's viewership was so low, but hopefully that would not deter Disney and Marvel from making a second season. Her appearance in The Marvels and any potential X-Men future could generate more interest in another solo adventure. Even if Ms. Marvel season 2 does not happen, Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan will undoubtedly be back for many other appearances.
