In a recent video, Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani forgets the one Marvel Cinematic Universe film that she should know best of all. Vellani stars as Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American high school student in Jersey City who moonlights as the superhero Ms. Marvel. The first episode of the latest Disney + MCU series establishes Kamala as a major Avengers super-fan who wants nothing more than to win the first annual AvengerCon cosplay competition as her favorite superhero, Captain Marvel. Kamala will join her idol in the upcoming MCU Phase Four film, The Marvels, which is slated for a July 2023 release.

Like her fictional superhero counterpart, Vellani is also a self-professed super-fan of everything Marvel. She grew up watching the films and even dressed up as Kamala Khan for Halloween as a child. The actor recently got into a playful debate with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige over the official designation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to contradictory information that's come the studio about its films in the past.

In a recent video from PopBuzz, the Ms. Marvel star failed to remember the one MCU movie that she should know. After responding correctly to a dozen trivia questions testing her knowledge of the massive MCU franchise, Vellani was asked to name all 28 MCU films in one minute. She managed to rapidly list 24 before getting stuck with a few key films, one of which she most definitely should have remembered. Check out the video below.

Although Vellani failed to remember Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and The Incredible Hulk -- the actor claimed she forgot The Incredible Hulk as she joked that she does not count the film even though she knows its considered canon -- forgetting Captain Marvel is a big miss for Vellani as it is her MCU's character namesake. Even more remarkable is that Vellani has already acted in a Captain Marvel film as she had wrapped her scenes on the sequel earlier this year. Regardless, her knowledge of the universe is unmatched compared to many of her colleagues, and remembering 24 out of 28 films within a minute is an impressive feat.

Vellani's thorough knowledge of Marvel's colossal shared superhero universe only shows how much of an amazing choice the actor was for the role of Kamala Khan. Both Vellani and Kamala were fans of the Avengers and Marvel's pantheon of superheroes before becoming one. Much of Ms. Marvel's success can be attributed to the quality of the character and the strength of its writing, but also due to a perfect casting with Vellani.
