Ms. Marvel refreshes the superhero genre with the unique coming-of-age tale of Kamala Khan as she becomes the eponymous iconic Marvel hero. Setting up the next generation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Disney+ series quickly endears the audience to Kamala and her associates.

Like many other fictional franchises, Ms. Marvel can't help but draw some comparisons with the Wizarding World of Harry PotterThe cast of characters therein all vary in terms of heroism, leadership, intelligence and likability, with each Hogwarts House represented among them.

Kareem/Red Dagger - Gryffindor

Ms Marvel Red Dagger

Aramis Knight joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kareem, aka the Red Dagger. Kareem meets Kamala while she visits Pakistan, informing her of the Clandestine plan that could spell doom for the entire planet. He also is the one to give Kamala his red scarf, which will go on to become an iconic piece of her Ms. Marvel costume.

As the Red Dagger, Kareem is daring and brave, setting his character firmly in the house of Gryffindor. His heroic qualities lead him to share a house with the greatest heroes of Hogwarts and could eventually land him his very own spinoff series set in the MCU.

Sadie Deever - Slytherin

Two Damage Control agents discover Ms. Marvel

Alysia Reiner portrays Sadie Deever, a Department of Damage Control Agent working with Agent Cleary to investigate Kamala Khan's emergence as a superhero. Agent Deever proves to be one of the least likable characters in Ms. Marvel, whose callous and brutal methods only cause further problems for Kamala and her friends.

Agent Deever is ambitious, callous, and self-involved, closely aligning with many common traits found among members of Slytherin house. While it is yet unclear whether Deever is actively working for a villainous group or if she is merely a troublesome meddler, one can only assume that her intentions are less altruistic than her fellow agents would prefer.

Zoe Zimmer - Slytherin

Laurel Marsden as Zoe Zimmer, dressed as Captain Marvel

Laurel Marsden plays Zoe Zimmer, a classmate of Kamala's. While attending Avengers Con, Zoe is nearly killed by a falling prop Mjolnir, only to be saved by Kamala using her newly discovered power. Zoe latches onto the fame this grants her, using it to build her follower base.

Zoe seems to possess all the undesirable qualities of a member of Slytherin without many of their positive attributes. She is self-absorbed and craves attention, showing herself willing to bend the truth to get what she wants. Ultimately, she comes across as very unlikable over the course of her scattered appearances throughout the season.

Aisha - Gryffindor

Mehwish Hayat portrays Aisha, Kamala Khan's great-grandmother who was a member of the Djinn banished to Earth. It is her bangle that eventually grants Kamala her powers and her legacy which inspires the generations that would come after her to unite against a common threat.

Aisha was the first in generations of women to use her otherworldly powers to protect those in need, particularly her own daughter. Unafraid of the threats posed by malevolent entities, Aisha makes it plain that she belongs in House Gryffindor, among the other heroes of the Wizarding World.

Najma - Slytherin

Kamala Khan Ms Marvel Aisha Greatgrandmother

Najma, portrayed by Nimra Bucha, is the malevolent leader of the Clandestine, a group of Djinn exiled from their homeworld. Desperate to return to their native realm, the Clandestine seek to manipulate Kamala into using her power to achieve their goals, only for the rift between realms to kill the surviving members of the group before they can ever lay eyes on their homeland.

Najma is manipulative, self-serving, and callous, reminding many viewers of the very worst members of in the house of Slytherin. A character who shares more qualities with Lord Voldemort himself than many fans might prefer, Najma is someone who one would do better not to trust.

Muneeba Khan - Hufflepuff

Muneeba Khan in Ms. Marvel episode 1

Zenobia Shroff portrays Muneeba Khan, Kamala's mother and a descendant of the exiled Djinn. Over the course of the series, Muneeba comes to terms with herself both as a mother and as a daughter herself, especially after her reunion with her own mother in Karachi, Pakistan.

Despite frequent disagreements with them, Muneeba is fiercely loyal when it comes to her family, always working hard to ensure that her loved ones are safe and comfortable. While she may be overbearing at times, Muneeba ultimately demonstrates some of Hufflepuff's best qualities during her time on the series.

Kamran - Slytherin

Ms Marvel Episode 4 Kamran

Kamran is the new student at Kamala's high school who is eventually revealed to be descended from the same race of exiled Djinn as she is. Portrayed by Rish Shah, Kamran eventually gains similar powers to Kamala, echoing the fate of his comic book counterpart, who is a very important character from Ms. Marvel lore.

Kamran is a complex character, who often finds himself bending to the authority of others. However, when acting of his own accord, he seems to demonstrate the better qualities of Slytherin house, including intelligence and ambition that could take him far if he was more willing to use them.

Nakia Bahadir - Hufflepuff

Nakia smiling in Ms. Marvel.

Yasmeen Fletcher portrays Nakia Bahadir, a resident of Jersey City and one of Kamala's closest friends at school. Over the course of the series, Nakia strives to gain a position of power at her local mosque in order to make things better for the women that attend there. She also learns of Kamala's secret powers, though she is offended to have been lied to.

Nakia has a strong sense for justice and equality, a common trait found among the House of Hufflepuff, leading her to maximize her good work effort and leverage it into a leadership position. Nakia would no doubt fit in well among the other Hufflepuffs as the perfect example of what one of their house should behave like.

Bruno Carrelli - Ravenclaw

Matt Lintz as Bruno in Ms Marvel

Bruno Carrelli, portrayed by Matt Lintz, is one of the most intelligent cast members of Ms. Marvel. Resourceful and handy with technology, Bruno is Kamala's best friend in high school, though he hides his true romantic feelings for her when he sees that she has fallen for the new student, Kamran.

Bruno is undoubtedly the smartest character in the series, whose intelligence outweighs that of everyone he comes in contact with. He comes to demonstrate the essence of House Ravenclaw, and would certainly make his associates at Hogwarts proud with the way he utilizes his natural talents.

Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel - Gryffindor

Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan smiling in Ms. Marvel

Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan, a massive fan of the Avengers, particularly Carol Danvers. After inheriting an ancient bangle from her grandmother, Kamala gains the power to generate "hard light" from within her body, becoming the eponymous superhero known as Ms. Marvel. However, this rise to heroism is only paralleled by Kamala's new appreciation for her family.

Kamala Khan is a true hero, who possesses every quality necessary to land her squarely in the house of Gryffindor. Like her own personal hero, she demonstrates the courage to do the right thing for those in need, even if such heroism costs her. She is brave, but often reckless, finding it necessary to rely on those with different dispositions to balance out her less refined side.
