The ongoing Disney+ series Ms. Marvel revolves around the teenage girl Kamala Khan and her experiences after finding a mysterious bangle that activates her superpowers. Her likable personality and supportive friends have influenced her journey to becoming a hero, and she has said some memorable lines in the process.

Kamala's best quotes on the series so far often perfectly capture her wit, humor, and struggles as she grapples with the idea of doing good with her newfound abilities. As fans eagerly wait to see what happens next to the young hero, it's the perfect time to look back at some of her unforgettable lines from the show.

“Sometimes Someone Can Come Out Of Nowhere And Do Something Amazing.”

During the very first scene of the series, Kamala’s monologue about Captain Marvel reveals how much she idolizes and looks up to the hero. She believes that the Avenger's actions during the fight against Thanos prove just how much of a badass she really is.

Most importantly, it means a ton to the protagonist that Captain Marvel seemingly came "out of nowhere." She's unknowingly foretelling her own future, as she's about to find a bangle that will change the trajectory of her life forever. While she's yet to do "something amazing," it looks like she's headed in that direction, too.

“Do I Have To Figure Out My Whole Future Before Lunch?”

When Mr. Wilson (aka Gabe) calls Kamala into the principal's office, they have a serious conversation about her future. Gabe berates her for constantly "staring off into space" and reminds her that she should be thinking about "college admissions," "SATs," "essays," and "applications." She even starts daydreaming during this discussion, proving his point.

Kamala's hilarious response about figuring out her whole future before lunch reflects her laidback personality and disinterest in what is typically expected of high-performing students her age. She has other things to worry about at that point, like the fast-approaching event, Avengercon.

“So, There's This Thing Called Avengercon. You Know, It's Really Something Incredible.”

The several MCU Easter Eggs in Avengercon make it one of the highlights of the show so far, but it wasn't easy for Kamala and Bruno to actually make it there. For one thing, Kamala has a challenging time convincing her parents to allow her to go to what they perceive to be a party with drinking and boys.

It's all worth it when the best friends get there, though, as they have a ton of fun in the booths and take photos with cosplayers. Kamala even joins the Captain Marvel costume competition, which also happens to be the first time she puts on the bangle that sparks her powers.

“I Can't Do A Single Normal Teenage Thing In This House, Right?”

Kamala loses her cool when her parents refuse to let her go to Avengercon, as they just don't understand why she would want to attend such a ridiculous event (in their eyes). She even pulls her brother Aamir next to her and tells her Muneeba and Yusuf that "if it was him asking," they wouldn't even hesitate to say yes.

Yusuf's response to her saying she can't do "a single normal teenage thing" only makes the situation worse, as calling her "not normal" isn't exactly comforting. It's a line that highlights her messy relationship with her parents who can't keep up with her modern interests.

Kamala and Bruno make an important discovery while exploring her new abilities. After Bruno reveals to Kamala that her "power isn't coming from the bangle" but from "within" her, she excitedly asks if she's "like Asgardian or something," even hypothesizing that she could be "related to Thor."

Fans know now that she unfortunately likely won't be making an appearance in any Thor movies soon, as she isn't Asgardian. As the villainous Najma explains, later on, she's a Djinn, a supernatural being known by many names, and also the "stuff of" many children's "nightmares" (according to Kamala).

“Maybe I Spend Too Much Time With Fan Art, And Costumes And With My Head Stuck In Fantasy Land.”

After a hurtful argument with her parents who tried to compromise by dressing up Yusuf as the Hulk, Kamala confides in Bruno about how guilty she feels. She confesses that she thinks "maybe they're right" about her being "stuck in fantasy land."

Thankfully, Bruno reminds her that dressing up as Captain Marvel is not weird, it's a great part of her interests and of who she is. He's always ready to give her sound advice despite being her own age, as his more relatable perspective helps balance out her parents' unreasonable strictness.

“It's Not Really The Brown Girls From Jersey City Who Save The World.”

The series has shown how Bruno’s support is integral to Kamala's life and happiness, even before gaining her powers. During their conversation where Kamala doubts herself, she says a well-written line about how "it's not really the brown girls from Jersey" who end up becoming superheroes.

Bruno is quick to retort by saying "sure they do," explaining that Kamala can do anything she sets her mind to, "with the right equipment, of course." He unveils his "newest prototype" and makes everything better again like he always does, and Kamala's troubles are soon forgotten as they play with the high-tech glove Bruno has designed for her costume.

“Maybe This Is Something I Need To Do – Something Good.”

Kamala faces the biggest decision she has to make in the show so far after Najma asks for her help in getting the Clandestines home. Bruno warns her that if she does, "some things might go boom." Kamala echoes the sheikh's words to her about good not being a thing she is, but what she does.

She begins to believe that helping the Djinn is "something good" that could cement her as a true hero. This is why it's so disappointing that Najma couldn't be just a bit more patient with her, considering she is just a teenager who accidentally unlocked her abilities just a few days before.

“Have You Ever Felt Like You Were Up Against The World?”

Kamala and Muneeba don't have the best relationship in Ms. Marvel, as the two of them are always fighting about their differences. However, a heartfelt moment between the mother and daughter is prompted by a deep question from Kamala about feeling like she's "up against the world."

Her description of how she "wanted something so bad, and then it actually happened, but in reality, it's just not as great as" she "imagined it" rings true for Muneeba, who immediately tells her about the difficult path she and Yusuf had to take to thrive in America. The scene ends perfectly with Muneeba reminding Kamala that she's not alone and that she can count on her family for support.

“Cosmic.”

Muneeba is understandably disappointed after she catches Kamala coming home from Avengercon. She expresses this to a stressed-out Kamala, not knowing that her daughter has just had a mind-blowing experience. Muneeba asks if she wants "to be good" like they "raised" her "to be" or "this cosmic head-in-the-clouds person" that she's becoming.

Kamala's response – "cosmic" – is said after her mother leaves, as she lays in bed and is awestruck by her own newfound ability. It's the beginning of something she knows will be amazing, as she never imagined she could be like the superheroes she has looked up to her whole life.
