Debbie Ocean gathers a crew to attempt an impossible heist at New York City’s yearly Met Gala.
This film is billed as a continuation of the Ocean’s Eleven franchise from director Steven Soderbergh that began back in 2001. The trilogy starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon (among others) proved to be very successful, grossing over $1 billion worldwide collectively. Ocean’s Eight looks to follow a similar formula, only with the spin that the crew of thieves is all-female. Sandra Bullock stars as Debbie Ocean, sister of Clooney’s Danny, and works with a crew of other criminals to get the job done.
Right now, it is unknown if there will be sequels, though that is likely if the film proves to be successful,

Michael McCauley (Liam Neeson) is an insurance salesman who is on his daily commute home. A mysterious stranger contacts him and offers him $100,000 if he identifies a hidden passenger on his train before the last stop. As he works against the clock to solve the puzzle, he realizes he is caught in the midst of a deadly criminal conspiracy and that his life and the lives of his fellow passengers are at risk.
This film has been in development since 2010, when Olatunde Osunsanmi signed on to direct. It lingered for a number of years before Jaume Collet-Serra became the helmsman. The Commuter marks the filmmaker’s fourth collaboration with Liam Neeson, following other action films Unknown, Non-Stop, and Run All Night. Production took place in 2016, as the film was initially scheduled for an October 2017 premiere. Distributor StudioCanal later made the decision to push it back to January 2018. The Commuter has received mixed reviews early on from critics.
