The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

Set 60 years before The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (and its sequels, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: There and Back Again) tell the tale of young Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and his greatest adventure.

Recruited by Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen) to join a quest in helping 13 Dwarves reclaim their Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch). On their travels the group encounters Goblins, Orcs, Wargs, Giant Spiders, Sorcerers and of course… Gollum (Andy Serkis) and his “precious” ring.
