Summary

  • Peacock's lineup changes monthly, with popular titles like "Jurassic World Dominion" leaving in March, making room for new additions.
  • With hit original shows like Bel-Air and live sports offerings, Peacock has positioned itself as a top subscription service.
  • As Peacock continues to evolve its content, subscribers can expect both arrivals and departures on a regular basis.

NBC and Universal's streaming service Peacock features a variety of movies and TV shows that change monthly, and many big titles are leaving Peacock in March. First launched in July 2020, Peacock hit the ground running by carrying some of the most popular NBC shows and movies from day one. Since then, the streamer has diversified its platform by creating hit original shows like Bel-Air, and it has positioned itself as one of the top subscription services. Despite its wealth of content, Peacock is in a constant state of change, which sees many shows and movies leave each month.

With the backing of a powerful company like NBC, Peacock has thrown its hat in the original content ring and has produced new shows and movies that rival even the best that network TV has to offer. Additionally, the streamer has also branched out into the world of live sports which has made Peacock a live-streaming destination for fans of professional wrestling, soccer, and motorsports. The new shows and movies on Peacock have gained a loyal subscriber base, but with additions also comes the departure of popular content. These movies leave Peacock in March 2024.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 is a recent theatrical release. Set several years after the first two movies in the series, it sees the family actually take a trip to Greece, embracing their culture and their history. Because it’s still available in some theaters, when My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 leaves Peacock, it won’t be available on another streaming platform just yet. Instead, it will be available through digital rental platforms.

March 15

BJ Novak and Ashton Kutcher standing together in the movie Vengeance
  • Vengeance

Starring and directed by former The Office star B.J. Novak, Vengeance has a pretty great cast. Issa Rae, Ashton Kutcher, and Dove Cameron add to the film’s star power. It also combines comedy, drama, mystery, and even musical elements to create a story of a man trying to solve the murder of a young woman he once had a sexual encounter with. When it leaves Peacock, it won’t be on another streamer right away, but will still be available to rent from other retailers.

March 16

Please Don't Destroy boys looking confused in the forest in The Treasure of Foggy Mountain
  • Please Don't Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain

Part buddy comedy, part treasure hunt, Please Don't Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain has been a Peacock exclusive since it premiered in 2023. As a result, it’s not clear if the movie will be available at all once it leaves the platform, much like a lot of the exclusive streaming releases that have been pulled from other streamers in the last year. Those interested in the adventure should definitely stream it before it says goodbye.

March 18

Elisabeth Moss looking off-camera in fear in The Invisible Man.
  • Escape The Field
  • The Invisible Man

A pair of horror movies leaves Peacock in mid-March. The Invisible Man would have been part of the modern monster movie universe that The Mummy reboot brought to an end. Escape the Field is as though a movie like Saw is set in the middle of a cornfield. Strangers wake up in the middle of a field and have to survive one another and traps in order to figure out what happened to them. Escape the Field and The Invisible Man will still be available to stream through Fubo.

  • Hey Boo
  • Night Off
  • Power Dynamics

This trio is a rare group of short films on Peacock, all featuring people of color in the lead roles. Hey Boo follows a hair braider in Atlanta who meets their match in one of their clients. Night Off is about a pair of new parents who decide to do drugs on their date night and experience some intense parental guilt. Power Dynamics is about a woman who moonlights as a dominatrix and discovers that her new boss is actually one of her clients. Ranging from 10 to 14 minutes, this trio of short films is a quick watch before they’re no longer available on Peacock.

March 22

  • Minions: The Rise of Gru

Minions: The Rise of Gru is one of the latest in the Despicable Me movie franchise. A prequel that tells Gru’s story, it was the highest grossing movie of the franchise, so parents will definitely not want to see this movie leave if their kids love it. It will likely be available on another streamer soon, but until it is, it’s still available for purchase and rent from digital retailers.

Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2 will still be available to stream on Peacock.

March 29

David Earl as Brian and Charles
  • Brian and Charles

Brian and Charles is an off-beat dramedy in which a lonely man in a small town invents an artificially intelligent robot to be his friend. Charles, however, learns quickly and soon begins to crave his own adventure outside of the small town. It’s worth a watch for those who enjoy quieter movies that haven’t gotten the same attention as blockbusters, and once it’s gone from Peacock, it won’t be available to stream free.

Just before March ends, there is a batch of library movies leaving Peacock to make room for April’s new additions. Interestingly, a few of these are ones that were just added to Peacock at the start of March. The Hunger Games and Kill Bill movies, for example, were all added on March 1. Because of their popularity, those movies will likely be moving on to another streamer at the end of the month. The Hunger Games movies tend to rotate through different streamers every few months as part of the contracts Lionsgate has with other companies, for example.

While a few movies leave Peacock on March 30, a much larger group of library movies leave on March 31. The huge number of movies leaving will make room for the big drop of movies on April 1 for Peacock, as is usually how the streamer operates.

Included in those leaving Peacock at the end of March are a lot of movies just added at the beginning of the month, like the classic Back to the Future trilogy, the Leprechaun horror movies, the romances Crazy Rich Asians and Pretty Woman, and even some surprising additions this month like Aquaman. Though it’s a large batch of movies leaving, subscribers can rest assured that there’s still plenty of new content on the way.

Also leaving at the end of March are a lot of Hallmark Channel movies. Hallmark has a deal with Peacock that often allows their new movies to be streamed for 72 hours, but some of their older movies stay on the streamer for months at a time. The large number of Hallmark movies leaving at the end of March likely means there will be a lot of new Hallmark content in April for Peacock as well.
