The movie Men In Black has always remained one of the most popular sci-fi films ever made, with an excellent blend of action and comedy, the film really has something for everyone. There are some tremendous practical effects throughout and the film and some of the aliens that are created really look fantastic, still holding up today.

This film also has a buddy cop feel to it as well with the relationship between Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones' characters. It's no surprise that a huge franchise was created from this movie, which is still going on today. But while the sequels and spin-off are fun, there are just as many exciting movies to watch that fans of Men In Black will love.

One of the most popular movies of all time, Ghostbusters is certainly one that Men In Black fans would enjoy watching. This film has everything going for it, from a team that works together but also has some great banter, amazing special effects, huge creatures, and lots of action.

When it comes to blending comedy and action together, few movies do it better than Ghostbusters. There's a reason that the movie has held up and remained as popular now as when it was originally released for a reason, as it is a true classic.

The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy (2005)

This film is one that does an incredible job of making science fiction be as funny as possible. The movie is set just before Earth is going to be destroyed by alien construction workers, which is as ridiculous as it sounds, yet it works brilliantly.

The movie features some amazing acting and really his hilarious. While it relies far more on bringing out laughs in its audience than anything else, the film manages to do that perfectly, which is something that any Men In Black fan can appreciate.

Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014)

Guardians of the Galaxy was an incredible surprise hit of the MCU, with this film blending action and comedy in a perfect way which any Men In Black fan should appreciate. Each character has totally different personalities and that really brings together some fun arguments, which is something that MIB certainly has going for it.

While this is a superhero movie, rather than being a focused sci-fi movie, the fact this takes place in space is why the film has a lot of similarities. There are a lot of different creatures and species and they all come together to create an incredibly exciting movie.

Paul (2011)

The relationship between Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones is something that really makes Men In Black such a popular movie, and that is why Paul is another sci-fi film people will enjoy. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are notorious for having amazing chemistry with the two of them being incredibly good friends.

It means that they always have a lot of fun together in movies that they make and that was obvious in Paul. The film might have sci-fi elements, with the duo trying to help an alien return home, but at its core, this one really is a comedy and it's a lot of fun.

I, Robot (2004)

Will Smith is a huge part of Men In Black's success, with his work being incredible throughout. But for fans who want to see more of this legendary actor within the sci-fi world, I, Robot is another great movie. Here, Will plays the character of Del Spooner who is investigating the murder of Dr. Alfred.

He has to make the decision as to whether or not the robots ended up going against the law and killing him or if they are still programmed to be helpful. It's a lot more series that MIB, however, the plot is intriguing and the action throughout is incredible.

Big Hero 6 (2014)

Disney can always be relied upon to produce the highest quality movies possible and that is exactly what Big Hero 6 did. This movie brings great sci-fi aspects with the incredible inventions that take place throughout this world, with a lot of fun moments happening.

But it is also a movie with a lot of heart, which is something that Men In Black can often be overlooked for. Despite how fun MIB is, the heart within the movie is clear from the two lead characters and the relationship that they forge as friends.

Hellboy (2004)

While this movie delves more into the world of fantasy than it does sci-fi, the blend of action, comedy, and over the top creatures/monsters makes this film very similar to Men In Black. While Hellboy is one of the lead roles here, which is different from MIB where the humans are attacking the aliens.

There is some amazing action packed into this movie, which is why it's so great and similar. Hellboy isn't the stereotypical hero either, which is something that makes him a lot of fun to watch as a character.

21 Jump Street (2012)

The buddy cop aspect of Men In Black is one of the best parts of the film. Their back and forth, love/hate relationship brings a great combination of heart and humor and that's one of the big reasons why not just the movie, but the entire franchise was so successful.

While this doesn't have aliens, it has two characters with amazing chemistry who are involved in something very serious, yet they still manage to have fun and create comedic moments. That ability to blend comedy into this movie is what really makes this one connect.

Attack The Block (2011)

One of the reasons why Men In Black was so much fun is because it brings aliens into the real world. Having them hide in plain sight makes things very different from a traditional sci-fi movie and that it is something that Attack The Block does really well too.

The film brings an invasion into a London estate which forces a group of teenagers to quit walking around the streets and work together to fight against them. It has a lot of funny moments and some unique action that isn't seen in other movies, changing the game just as MIB did prior to it.

Independence Day (1996)

This is another science fiction movie that Will Smith is involved with and it is another brilliant movie. Independence Day is a gripping movie from start to finish, with this film being set as an alien race begins to try to invade cities all around the world.

It features a group of survivors coming together in a bid to save the world, and bringing different characters together from all walks of life is a lot of fun. While things are a lot more serious in this one than they are during Men In Black, the alien invasion is certainly something that will hook viewers.
