Godzilla vs. Kong was the ultimate monster face-off movie that audiences had been craving for years, and Legendary has just announced Godzilla vs. Kong 2, which will arrive in 2024. While more kaiju destroying entire cities is always something to look forward to, there are so many "vs." movies that fans want to see.

Between Kevin McCallister taunting deadly aliens, Neo fighting the T800, and 007 being hunted by Batman, Redditors' imaginations haven't held back. Some could actually be possible, given that reboots have been rumored and the franchises are owned by the same studio. But some are absolute pipe dreams, and while they sound fun, they'll never happen in a million years.

Marvel Vs. DC

The MCU Avengers vs The DCEU Justice League

WindingRoad10 is extremely ambitious and wants to see the two biggest superhero cinematic universes collide. The Redditor notes, "That would be massive (and multiple films,) but it would certainly boil down to having the right story." This would be almost impossible to develop given that the studios would almost certainly lock horns over how the story would play out, how it'd play into their own franchises, and which characters would win and lose the fights.

Fans saw how much of a logistical nightmare it was (and continues to be) with Sony and Marvel Studios sharing Spider-Man and his villains. So it's almost impossible to imagine how difficult it'd be to plan a movie with two giant superhero teams belonging to different studios. However, that doesn't mean that it wouldn't be incredible. And if it ever did happen, it would undoubtedly become the highest-grossing movie of all time.

The Thing Vs. Xenomorphs

Split image showing MacReady in The Thing and Ripley in Alien

A deleted user wants to see two of the most iconic movie aliens go head to head and simply states, "The Thing vs. Aliens would be insane." However, the big appeal of both original movies was that a group of humans was being hunted by an unknown entity, and that's what made it so terrifying. The parasite in The Thing might not have as much impact if it's simply fighting a xenomorph.

The reason why the concept of Alien vs. Predator worked was because the Yautjas were born to hunt, whereas The Thing's organism simply wants to survive, and not much would happen once it embodies a xenomorph. But seeing two of the most creative practical monster designs on screen together would be a visual spectacle, at the very least.

Kevin McCallister Vs. Predator

Split image of Kevin in Home Alone and the Predator

On the face of it, the "vs." movie that Negan2018 pitches sound like a joke, and while it might be in jest, it'd actually make for a brilliant, expectation-subverting crossover comedy. The Redditor pitches, "I wanna see Kevin McCallister vs Predator but Kevin gets 24 hours prep." Nothing would be more hilarious than watching the hunter fumble his way through a house full of traps made out of toys.

While the idea of Predator stepping on LEGOs might ruin the perception fans have of the terrifying dreadlocked alien, it'd make for a truly original horror comedy. After all, an unpopular (but not entirely wrong) opinion about Home Alone is that Kevin is a villain who loves hurting people. At the very least, it'd make for a hilarious five-minute sketch, and it'd be way better than the newly released Home Sweet Home Alone.

Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash

Freddy vs Jason vs Ash Comic

Freddy and Jason have already faced off in 2003's Freddy vs. Jason, which was massively underwhelming considering they are two of the biggest horror icons ever. But Callmemacready thinks the battle would be better if another dimension was added by including the Evil Dead's Ash.

Ironically, even though he isn't as iconic, every Ash-starring Evil Dead release is adored by fans of the series. And the character's one-liners and charisma are exactly what Freddy and Jason lack, so it could work surprisingly well. Not only that, but along with the clawed dream haunter and the hockey-masked serial killer, Ash also has a novelty, as he has a chainsaw for a hand.

Neo Vs. The Terminator

The Matrix Neo T-800 theory

There is a popular theory amongst fans that the Matrix and Terminator franchises take place in the same franchise, and MaybeMineola takes that theory even further. The Redditor wants to see a movie that officially links the two movies together, explaining, "I like to imagine 'The Second Renaissance' from The Animatrix to be the chronological link between the Terminator and Matrix franchises."

The user points to the best short in the animated movie, and though many think "The Second Renaissance" should be adapted into a live-action movie, a Matrix and Terminator crossover sounds even better. That means that Neo and the T-800 will inevitably face off against each other, and the two are so evenly matched and excel in different ways that there'd be no knowing who would win.

X-Men Vs. Avengers

Avengers vs X-Men first fight revealed.

Hellorion wants to see what has been depicted in comic books for decades and what fans have been craving to see in a movie for years. The Redditor is extremely optimistic that a fight between the superhero teams will eventually be on the big screen, simply stating, "It's gonna happen."

X-Men is a property that's more shrouded in mystery than any other. Fans need to hear something, as nobody knows whether the MCU will bring back the same actors from the 20th Century Fox series or if it'll be entirely recast. However, X-Men vs. Avengers is unlikely, especially given that fans don't even know if the Avengers team is currently active.

Expendables Vs. Predators

Predator expendable asset dillon

It seems as if Redditors want Predators in every movie franchise, as, along with Home Alone, one Redditor wants to see the series crossover with Expendables. The "vs." movie actually makes a lot of sense, as they both share the same jungle aesthetic and are full of guns, muscles, and testosterone.

This crossover could work incredibly well, and it could even serve as a direct sequel to the very original Predator in 1987. The movie could see the group of commandos, which is made of iconic action heroes including Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, Jet Li, and, of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger, trying to outsmart the hunter. And it's one of the crossovers that could breathe new life into two stale franchises.

Gremlins Vs. The Goonies

The Goonies Gremlins

Cosmiccraze wants to see the Goonies kids fight an army of Gremlins. Goonies is a movie that surprisingly hasn't been remade yet, and people have been expecting a Gremlins remake for years too. Given that the two are beloved '80s adventure movies, and that remakes are expected at some point, Amblin Entertainment could kill two birds with one stone by making a crossover movie.

But a Gremlins vs. The Goonies wouldn't be great just because of convenience, but a group of kids trying to fight off tiny but very violent creatures could be the absolute embodiment of the 1980s. It'd be full of comedy, adventure, and thrills, and given that '80s nostalgia trips like Stranger Things are so successful at the minute, there's no better time for it than now.

Zoolander Vs. The Matrix

Split image of Derek in Zoolander and Neo in The Matrix

Trees_for_wheels wants to see the supermodels of Zoolander enter the matrix, and they use an iconic quote from the movie that ties it all together, "They're in the computer?" But it'd be more interesting to see Derek Zoolander and Hansel join the Nebuchadnezzar crew, as nobody would rock shades and leather jackets better than them.

The crossover would make for an endless barrage of '90s fashion jokes, and Mugatu could join the machines, or maybe he's even an agent. Though the Redditor was joking more than anything, Zoolander vs. the Matrix could actually make for a great parody movie like the Jump Street/Men in Black movie that never happened.

James Bond Vs. Batman

Split image of Batman in The Batman and James Bond in No Time To Die 2

Not many general audiences actually know that Batman also goes by The World's Greatest Detective, as he never really conducts any detective work in the movies. However, the recently released The Batman saw the Caped Crusader solving clues on crime scenes, and Snare123 thinks that could would well in a movie where he faces off against James Bond.

The Redditor wants to see "The World's Greatest Detective vs. the world's best spy." That could potentially be a huge globe-trotting event that takes Bond to Gotham and Batman to the world's most exotic locations. And it'd make for the ultimate cat-and-mouse chase thriller.
