While Teen Wolf mainly explored the supernatural and introduced fans to an array of new creatures, the writers also provided a bit of context of how the hunters' organization worked too. Since they were seen as secondary antagonists (at least until the final season), it made sense for the writers to explore the power structure as a new leader seemed to emerge with every passing season.

Although it was established that only women could be selected as the leaders of the organization and the family factions, that doesn't mean there weren't times where there wasn't a shift in the dynamics. Sometimes, a few other members were recruited and ended up making some major changes. But who ended up accruing the most power?

Kate Argent

Far from being the most likable character in Teen Wolf, Kate Argent (Jill Wagner) certainly made a name for herself in Beacon Hills (and not for the right reasons). Initially one of the Argent's lieutenants, Kate soon lost her role after it was discovered that she was responsible for the Hale fire and the deaths of many innocent people.

Since she was always so reckless and impulsive, it wasn't surprising that the family refused to make Kate a leader of the organization. Considering she broke their code numerous times and showed no remorse for her actions, it's likely she would have led them down a darker path. In the end, Kate wasn't even considered to be an Argent soldier since they refused to accept her supernatural status as a Werejaguar.

Bennett

Only appearing in one episode, Bennett (Akeem Smith) was part of the Argent faction and seemed to be under the direct orders of Chris Argent (JR Bourne). He appeared to be a fairly new recruit, with Chris ordering him to watch over his daughter, Allison (Crystal Reed), while she began her training.

The fact that this was the only mission the viewers saw him get, it's clear that he wasn't as experienced as the other hunters in the group (meaning that he was likely a soldier). However, if he wasn't killed off, it's likely that Bennett could have improved his ranking since Allison was the most important person in the Argent leaders' lives.

Severo Calavera

The son of Araya Calavera (Ivonne Coll), Severo (Ivo Nandi) was a strong and fierce hunter, who would be seen leading many of their family's soldiers into battle. He was also given more responsibility than most, put in charge of interrogating Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and Lydia Marin (Holland Roden) and hunting down Kate Argent.

Since Severo had great combat skills and an unwavering loyalty to his mother, it's not surprising that she named him as one of her top commanders. He also appeared quite happy in the position he was in, not even challenging his mother's orders or attempting to usurp her role.

Allison Argent

After Chris told Allison in "Ice Pick" that they train women to be leaders, fans got a brief glimpse at what she would be like if she was placed in charge. Allison could have turned into a great leader since she was brave, altruistic, and a smart tactician. Her plans were also effective too since she was part of the reason why Scott's pack could defeat some of Teen Wolf's most powerful supernatural entities (including the Oni and the Nogitsune).

Sadly, due to Kate's lack of experience, her immaturity, and her desire for revenge, she and Chris decided that she was not ready to take up the mantle. In the end, fans were glad that she defected from the organization since it allowed fans to see the old Allison return.

Chris Argent

By far the most responsible and level-headed member of the Argent family, Chris was also seen to be one of the lieutenant's in the organization and the right-hand man of Victoria (Eaddy Mays). Since Victoria and Chris had a great partnership, she was more than happy to give her husband more responsibility, putting him in charge of training Allison and sending him on the frontlines.

After Victoria's death, Chris was seen to gain a bit more power as he acted as Allison's most trusted advisor. It's likely that Chris would have eventually taken over the leadership role after Allison since he had the respect of many recruits as well as all the other hunting families. Unfortunately, fans will never find out what he would have been like in this role, but he certainly would have changed their faction for the better.

Marie-Jeanne Valet

Despite only appearing in one episode, Marie-Jeanne Valet (Crystal Reed) had quite an impact on the fans. A gifted hunter who was remembered by all for defeating the Beast of Gévaudan, it's not shocking that she ended up earning the trust and love of the people in her village.

By teaching the townspeople what were the best weapons to protect themselves with and continuing to slay some of Teen Wolf's scariest creatures, she essentially rose through the ranks to become one of the townspeople's most trusted leaders. Sadly, since it was only a small faction by the time the organization was founded, she didn't accrue as much power as her descendants.

Victoria Argent

As the leader of the hunters in the Argent family, Victoria was the ideal role model for the hunters. She was headstrong, fierce, and independent. Her amazing skills as a tactician and calculating plans meant that the Argent family achieved many victories and much success.

However, for fans, they definitely didn't see Victoria as the most powerful Argent since she seemed like a pawn in Gerard Argent's (Michael Hogan) game. Not only was Victoria manipulated by the older Argent but he made sure that her hatred of anything supernatural was heightened (particularly for Scott). Her newfound hatred even made Allison and Chris question her judgment - and if they were losing faith in her, then it wouldn't be long before the others followed.

Araya Calavera

A much more respected and honorable leader, Araya Calavera was considered one of the more likable members of the hunting community. She seemed to have the respect of all the individuals in her group and had strong alliances with all the other families. Since she knew that she and Scott's pack had the same end goals, Araya also made strong connections with several supernatural beings.

While Araya could have increased her power if she was motivated by self-interest, she was more than happy to remain in Mexico, protecting all the innocent people living there. This was further evidenced by the fact she refused to participate in the "Battle for Beacon Hills" or even let her own soldiers go either.

Gerard Argent

If someone asked any fan what they thought about Gerard Argent, they would likely say that he is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Although Gerard wasn't trained to be a leader, fans witnessed him manipulate his way to the top by abolishing the Argent's family code and persuading all their soldiers to kill all supernatural beings after Kate's death.

Where all the other hunters joined the organization to protect humanity, Gerard was more motivated by self-interest. He loved that he could control and manipulate all those around him, forcing them into doing his bidding. In fact, Gerard even started a new organization in Monroe's Army so he could retain this kind of power. Unfortunately for him, he was outwitted him in the end, which ultimately led to his death.

Tamora Monroe

Tamora talks to Scott in Teen Wolf.

Out of all the hunters remaining on Teen Wolf, it is Tamora Monroe that appears to have accrued the most power. Introduced in season 6, Monroe wasted no time in making a name for herself as she recruited many of the Beacon Hills residents into joining her army.

Although she was defeated in the Battle for Beacon Hills after Scott's pack managed to eliminate the Anuk-Ite, it appears that her followers haven't lost faith in her as the two-year time jump reveals she has hunters across the globe. With such a large network of connections, it's likely that some of Teen Wolf's most powerful alphas will likely be running for their lives in the 2022 movie as she will probably return.
