Killing Eve (2018-) - 8.3

This adventure drama is created by the brilliant Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and stars Jodie Comer and Grey's Anatomy alum, Sandra Oh. The lives of a security operative and a assassin find their lives linked in unavoidable ways.

The Last Kingdom (2015-) - 8.4

This history drama is definitely a hidden gem. Taking place in the time of the Vikings, Uhtred - a Saxon - must defend his kingdom from Norse invaders. With four seasons, this show is far from over, and has a perfect mix of action, drama, and humor.

With an 8.4, this show is perfect for all those missing Game of Thrones, or simply need an entertaining and riveting fill of history and action. Totally underrated, this series will not disappoint.

Luther (2010-) - 8.5

BBC is definitely best known for producing some incredible crime series, and this one is no exception. Starring Idris Elba, this drama follows a murder detective - whose brilliance is yielded by his passion, methods, and private life.

This is a dark crime drama, but is filled with mystery and suspense. This show is certainly more underrated than it should be - and deserves to be binged immediately for an incredible Idris Elba and riveting content.

Doctor Who (2005-) - 8.6

This revamped show continues on with one of the most famous characters of all time - Doctor Who. Starring Jodie Whittaker, this award winning show has 12 whopping seasons. For those still watching this adventure drama, it currently has an 8.6/10.

Obviously, there's a lot of episodes, and is perfect for anyone looking for a long and entertaining binge of a popular and well-made series - that will likely never get old.

Normal People (2020-) - 8.6

With Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal, the first season of this show has an impressive 8.6. For a fresh series, this romance drama is a great pick, especially for those wanting a more light-hearted show.

Fleabag (2016-2019) - 8.7

This comedy series is technically an Amazon Original, but it's also a British series that is distributed by BBC. This is another show created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, but this time she stars.

A young woman in London faces a tragedy, and must cope with life in its aftermath. This Golden Globe winning comedy is light-hearted, cringy, and quirky, and is the perfect series for anyone looking for something hilarious, unique, and well-rated.

Peaky Blinders (2013-) - 8.8

This crime drama is definitely one of the most popular BBC shows out there. Starring Cillian Murphy, this series follows a gangster family in 1900s Birmingham, as they merge the lines of business and crime.

With five seasons under its belt, this show is full of family, drama, action, romance, and humor. With everything for everyone to love, this show is a must-see - where viewers will immediately become addicted.

Sherlock (2010-) - 9.1

This crime series is definitely not underrated, but those who haven't seen it are certainly missing out on this Golden Globe nominated series with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.

A modern take on this classic duo, this series has a mind-blowing 9.1/10 on IMDb. If it hasn't been binged already, it's hard to truly appreciate the best of BBC without seeing this incredible series.
