Necromunda: Hired Gun is the latest in the long-running Warhammer game series, and boy does the name do it justice. After picking a character, the player finds themselves taking out wave after wave of enemies on the classic junk planet Necromunda, using their wits, their dog, and lots and lots of guns.

However, players will likely notice that several of the best upgrades can be quite pricey, even prohibitively so. Given that the main story quests don’t provide nearly enough money to upgrade everything, they’ll need alternate ways of making some scratch. Below, players will learn how to earn some hard-earned cash to spend on the best upgrades.

Making Money in Necromunda: Hired Gun

Necromunda Hired Gun Side Missions

Most of the money players will make in Necromunda: Hired Gun will come from completing side quests. These smaller quests come in several varieties like pollution missions, bounties, and captive rescues, but players should focus on the quests that take the least amount of time and offer the greatest rewards.

The types of missions to focus on are ones that involve discrete objectives that don’t require a lot of extended combat. Things like Save the Witches and Ghasts are perfect because it’s a quick process to navigate to an objective, complete it, rinse, and repeat. It’s possible to earn almost 30,000 cash in a minute or two.

If the player is early in the game or doesn’t know the map layouts well, they can also take on defense missions. Though these are more combat-heavy, it removes the need to navigate around as much. However, they take longer to complete, so the cash over time is a little lower.

Additionally, when starting a side mission, players should make sure to equip their best Lucky Charm. These items which can be equipped onto a gun cause an enemy killed with the gun to occasionally drop extra money. It’s a great little boost, especially if the player decides to go the defense mission route, which requires a lot more killing.

Finally, every player should consider grabbing a few augments that will really boost money generation.

Vocal Implant

  • This skill increases mission bounty bonuses. At the highest level, it grants a boost of 120% to bounty rewards.

Heightened Senses

  • This allows the player’s character to slow time, which is invaluable in dodging enemy fire and avoiding enemies if needed.

Bionic Legs

  • For missions where the player wants to get to the objective as quickly as possible, the Bionic Legs augment is great for increasing the height and distance they can jump.

Strength Booster

  • The best aspect of this ability is the added knife attack. It kills enemies almost instantly and functions similarly to takedowns. Oh, and the augment also increases strength, speed, and more.

Choosing the right side mission for a particular playstyle and equipping the right skills is a critical element of completing these smaller quests easily. Following these tips will have players earning cash so fast, they won’t have any problems kitting out their favorite guns with the most powerful accessories on all of Necromunda!
