Roland Emmerich's upcoming disaster film, Moonfall, shares new character posters. Emmerich is no stranger to the disaster genre, having previously helmed Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, and 2012, with this new project set to continue the trend. Moonfall sees the Moon knocked from its orbit and sent on a collision course with Earth. With only weeks until impact and humanity already suffering untold levels of devastation, it's now up to a NASA executive, a former astronaut, and a conspiracy theorist to save the world.

Moonfall features a stellar cast, including Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, John Bradley, Michael Peña, and Donald Sutherland. As shared by /Film, Berry, Wilson, and Bradley are now featured on their own character posters. Each poster has the actors wearing sunglasses as they look to the sky, with the too-close Moon reflected on their lenses. Check out the new character posters for Moonfall below:

Moonfall has already released trailers highlighting the peril caused by the moon hurtling toward Earth. The trailers have also revealed that the Moon in Moonfall is fake, as its core is made from metallic, rotating structures seen by the three main characters as they fly through it. With Emmerich known for crafting blockbuster hits, it looks like this movie could be poised for the same. However, with an unconventional February release date and the current state of theater distribution due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Moonfall may not see the same returns as previous Emmerich films.
