As fans eagerly wait for the highly-anticipated finale of Disney+'s Moon Knight set to come out on May 4, it's the perfect time to look back at some of the hard choices the well-written characters have had to make over the course of the series.

Even fan-favorite characters don't always make the right decisions in the show, with some of their worst ones having lasting ramifications on the world and the people around them. From Wendy's abusive behavior to Harrow's evil goals, the worst things the characters do in the Marvel series always negatively impact others.

Wendy Spector: Abused Marc Spector

The heartbreaking origin of Marc’s alter Steven Grant was finally revealed in the last episode, although it takes some persuading before Marc admits the truth to Steven. When they delve deep into his past, Steven learns about Marc's younger brother, Randall, and the accident that ruined Marc's relationship with his mother Wendy.

Marc was just a young boy, but Wendy blamed him for Randall's death. She was emotionally and physically abusive towards him, which eventually necessitated Steven's existence. It's almost too painful to see what Marc had to endure at such a young age, which, as Steven thankfully points out, he didn't deserve at all.

Layla El-Faouly: Confronted Marc Spector At The Wrong Time

After a tense conversation with the cunning Harrow, Layla is understandably confused and concerned about Marc's role in her father's death. While it makes sense that she would want to confront him about it, she does so at the worst possible moment. Layla questions Marc about Dr. El-Faouly's death right after Steven retrieves Ammit's ushabti.

As Marc rightly points out, they have to get out of there as soon as possible, since Harrow's men aren't too far behind. Layla refuses, however, and insists on hearing the truth right then and there. While she gets what she wants, Harrow catches up with them and shoots Marc (and Steven), which would have never happened if Layla had just waited until after they got out. It's a frustrating moment, but it's worth noting that Marc's at fault here, too, as he should have never kept the truth from his own wife in the first place.

Khonshu: Manipulated Marc Spector

Fans finally see the unforgettable moment when Marc becomes the titular Moon Knight, as one of his memories shows how Marc, at his lowest point, is approached by the god who almost seems to be drawn to him for his "fractured mind." While Marc views this moment with some gratitude for the chance he's given, Steven helpfully points out how Khonshu has been manipulating him from the start.

This statement probably helps Marc see how twisted Khonshu's words are about him having a weak mind, and how messed up it is that he's had to murder so many people in his name. As Steven says in an earlier episode, both Khonshu and Ammit's goals are questionable, and Marc will hopefully eventually see that they're just two sides of the same coin.

Arthur Harrow: Judged People Based On Ammit’s Principles

Ethan Hawke in Moon Knight

From the moment he's first introduced, it's clear that Harrow is a terrifying villain, as he immediately shows how dedicated he is to Ammit. Since then, he has used Ammit's scales to judge others before their time, genuinely believing that the deity knows who is bound to do evil in the future. Like Steven, audiences will never forget the moment Harrow judges an old lady, who then fails the test and dies.

The next episode will likely show this horrifying action on a mass scale, especially considering how Taweret has mentioned that countless souls are being sent to the Underworld and upsetting the balance already. There's no telling just how much damage Harrow has done in the world of the living at this point.

Steven Grant: Kissed Layla El-Faouly

Being the most likable character in the series, it's not surprising that Steven hasn't really done much to upset viewers. In fact, even his worst action on the show probably made some fans smile, as it has been entertaining to watch the budding romance between him and Layla. However, given the complicated situation with Marc watching from the sidelines, it's far from being his best moment.

With Steven being the decent guy he is, he admits that Marc only left Layla to protect her from Khonshu before kissing her. While this does soften the blow a bit, Marc still understandably feels betrayed that Steven would kiss Layla when he's right there.

Marc Spector: Murdered For Khonshu

There's no denying that Marc has done a lot of questionable things in the series. From the way he left Layla and lied to her about her father to how he hid the truth about Steven's identity and his past, he's proven that he's not the most decent person in the show. His worst action is revealed through one of the rooms on Taweret's boat, which contains the corpses of every person he has ever murdered for Khonshu.

It's a disturbing scene that understandably upsets Steven who can't believe Marc has killed so many people. While he justifies this by saying he was only doing so based on Khonshu's judgment, it's not too different from the way Harrow defends his devotion to Ammit and her murderous goal.
