New Moon Knight footage reveals the best look at Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight costume and Ethan Hawke's villain. Originally announced in 2019 at D23, Moon Knight is one of many highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe shows coming to Disney+ in 2022. The series stars Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector, a mercenary with dissociative identity disorder who becomes a superhero after the Egyptian moon god Khonshu saves his life - or so he believes. Moon Knight also includes Ethan Hawke as its rumored main villain, but most of the cast and plot details are still a secret.

Although Moon Knight doesn't have an official release date, it has been expected that it will be the first MCU Disney+ show of 2022. There are many anxiously waiting to see more from the series, too, after Marvel teased audiences with a glimpse of footage in late 2021. It provided glimpses at Isaac playing Marc's multiple personalities and suited up as Moon Knight. However, the footage refrained from showing Isaac's Moon Knight costume in full, as only pieces of it could be seen throughout.

A new Moon Knight trailer teaser from Hulu has now fully revealed Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight costume. The front of the suit can be momentarily seen as it flashes over Marc Spector's normal attire early in the footage, while the teaser ends with a glimpse at how Marc puts on the suit. The footage also includes a brief shot at Ethan Hawke's villain, who comments that there is chaos in Marc Spector. Check out the teaser below:

Now that Moon Knight's full MCU costume has been revealed, how closely it compares to the comics can be seen. The suit itself has a mummy quality to it (especially with the transformation sequence) that is not how it normally operates in the comics. This could be one of many changes Marvel Studios makes for Moon Knight, but it might be a way to tie the show more into Egyptian culture and mythology. Many will be pleased, though, to see the glowing white eyes from the suit, which is traditionally part of Moon Knight's comic design but is a concept live-action superhero projects have shied away from elsewhere.

As for Ethan Hawke's villain, the footage doesn't provide much context for who he is. There have been various rumors about which Marvel villain he could play in Moon Knight, with Dracula and Sun King among the more popular suggestions. Unfortunately, Hawke's appearance doesn't clear it up. With a full Moon Knight trailer releasing in a few days, that could be where Marvel reveals much more about the story and characters, including Hawke's villain identity.
